A total of 18,733 units of Alto twins were sold in the month of June 2019.Alto has always been the highest selling car in India.It has averaged around 20,000 units.A few weeks back, it recently received an update in the form of exterior and features updates.Next generation of this small hatchback is expected to arrive by year end.
2. Maruti Swift
Total Sales – 16,330
Next up comes the Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) 2019, Maruti Swift.Swift is the second most sold car in June 2019.A total 16,330 units of Swift were sold in the month of June.It comes offered with a 1.2 L petrol and 1.3 L Diesel engine option.
3. Maruti Dzire
Total Sales – 14,868
The 3rd spot is taken by Maruti Dzire.It is highest selling compact sedan and in the month of June 2019, total 14,868 units were sold.Recently, it also got updated with BS-VI compliant petrol engine.
4. Maruti Baleno
Total Sales – 13,689
Another Maruti car is at the top selling cars list.Baleno is the 4th top selling car in India as of June 2019.Its sales have slightly declined over time but still a total of 13,689 units of Baleno were retailed in the month of June.
5. Maruti Wagon R
Total Sales – 10,228
Maruti Wagon R has managed ton grab 10,228 units in the month of June 2019.It is offered with a variety of engine as well as transmission options and has got a big stance as well as very big boot.
6. Hyundai Elite i20
Total Sales – 9,271
Hyundai Elite comes at 6th spot.A total of 9,271 units of the premium hatchback were sold in the month.The sales of Elite i20 has always remained between 9,000 and 12,000 units.It features sharp and stylish exterior and plush cabin.
7. Maruti Eeco
Total Sales – 9,265
Maruti Eeco comes at rank 7 in the list of highest selling cars in India in June 2019.It is one of the eight Maruti cars in this list.Talking about the overall sales, Maruti has sold 9,265 units of Eeco in June.
8. Maruti Vitara Brezza
Total Sales – 8,871
Maruti Brezza sales have received a decline as a number of entrants has managed to eat the sales of the compact SUV.But still it managed to get 8th spot in the highest selling cars list.A total of 8,871 units were retailed in the respective month.
9. Hyundai Venue
Total Sales – 8,763
Hyundai Venue becomes the 2nd highest compact SUV and 9th highest car in June 2019.It has managed to enter the top 10 selling car list in just a time of 2 months.A total of 8,763 Venue were sold in the month of June.
10. Hyundai Creta
Total Sales – 8,334
Last up comes Hyundai Creta.Compared to the previous month, Creta sales have declined from 10,000 units to 8,334 units in this month.It will be interesting to see how the Creta stacks up against Kia Seltos and how would the launch of the latter affect the sales of Creta.
