The second generation Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has been unveiled at the Indonesia International Motor Show.Here are the top 10 things that you need to know about new Ertiga 2018.
New Ertiga 2018 measures 4395mm long,has a width of 1735mm and is 1690mm tall.This means that it has grown up from it’s former model upto 99mm in length,40mm in width and is 5mm taller than the outgoing model.While the wheelbase has remained unchanged at 2740mm.Bootspace is now 153 litres.ground clearance of 180 mm.Also Read:Upcoming Maruti Cars in India in 2018-19
2018 Ertiga will be based on Suzuki’s HEARTECT platform which also underpins Maruti Dzire,Swift and Baleno.This means that the new model will be stiffer and lighter than the present version resulting in high fuel efficiency.
The new Maruti Ertiga draws power from a new 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine producing 102bhp and 138Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The diesel version of the MPV is will a new Maruti developed 1.5-litre engine with Smart Hybrid technology mated to a 5-speed MT & 4 speed AMT Gearbox.
Expected Mileage : 18kmpl(Petrol MT),17kmpl(Petrol AT),25kmpl(Diesel MT) and 25km/kg for CNG.

The insides of the Ertiga unveiled at the motor show are similar to those on other cars from the same base– the instrument panel and flat-bottomed steering have been borrowed from the Swift hatchback.Ertiga 2018 will feature new dual-tone beige and black dash with wooden finish.Cooled cupholders,Multiple charging outlets and bottle holder and map pocket would be helpful in those long journeys.The interior of 2018 Ertiga has been made stylish by vertical alignment of A/C vents.Rear roof mounted ac vents will continue in new ertiga.A new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports apple car play,android auto,mirror link,usb,aux,BT connectivity,reverse parking camera.All new redesigned instrument cluster and MID.
The price of 2018 Ertiga is expected to increased by maximum Rs. 50,000.Ertiga will be priced at Rs. 6.8L-11.3L(Ex-Showroom,Delhi).
