Third-generation Mercedes CLS is all ready to make a comeback in India on 16th November 2018.New Mercedes CLS will be one of the four cars to be launched in India in November 2018.CLS which was unveiled earlier this year at the Detroit Auto Show, will sit between the E-Class and S-Class.The price of the premium sedan is expected to be between Rs. 70 Lakhs to Rs. 1 Crore depending upon the variants and features.
New CLS gets a number of stylish elements from the A-Class.It gets trapezoidal grille with a thick single chrome slat with Mercedes badging at the centre.New C257 CLS will be a third generation model both for global as well as Indian market.The headlamps are swept back with LED DRLs.The three division layout of the front bumper adds to the stylish look of the sedan.New CLS sports big wheel arches with sloping roofline notchback like boot.Rear section of the premium sedan is further enhanced by stunning tail lamps.
The cabin of Mercedes cars have always been luxurious and plush which has been further boosted up by the wooden interiors on the dashboard.All leather upholstery will be offered with a choice of colours.Like any other high-end Mercedes, it gets double screen layout, first in the form of touchscreen infotainment system and other for the digital instrument cluster.A number of premium features which will be standard includes Panoramic Sunroof, three-zone climate control system and electric seats with memory function.
Coming to the powertrains, 2018 Mercedes CLS will be powered by 2.9-litre BS-VI compliant engine and 2.0-litre turbocharged unit.Both these motors outputs 290 BHP of power and will be paired to 9-speed automatic unit.
Maruti Ertiga is all set to enter into it’s next generation in this month.Ertiga has been a huge success for Maruti Suzuki and the premium MPV with many styling updates, new specifications with premium features added across the range is ready to challenge the likes of Honda BR-V, Renault Logdy, Datsun Go Plus and Mahindra Marazzo.New Ertiga will be launched in India on November 21 while the price of the MPV will be Rs. 50,000 more than the present Ertiga.
New Maruti Ertiga 2018 will get a aggressive front grille with three black slats and chrome accents.This time Ertiga will get Projector headlamps and LED DRLs which merges into the grille.Fog lamps are surrounded by C-Shaped thick black surrounds which further joins the lower lip.New Ertiga 2018 will be based on Maruti’s HEARTECT platform and is expected to be lighter than the outgoing model.Along with a lot of character lines, it sits on stylish 15-inch alloys.Big windows, chrome door handles, ORVMs with turn indicators are certain other visible exterior features.Moving to the rear, Ertiga sports striking new wrap around tail lamps with LED elements and a large rear bumper.
On the inside, it will share a number of elements with Maruti Swift and Dzire.New Ertiga will get 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto,Apple Carplay and Mirror Link.Steering wheel will be flat bottomed and will get audio,bluetooth and voice controls.New Ertiga will be spacious and comfortable than the present model thanks to an increase in width and length of the MPV.Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and parking sensors will be a standard fitment while reverse parking camera, auto dimming IRVM, rear defogger will be offered in higher variants.Along with this, Ertiga will also get cooled cupholders which again will be limited to the top-spec trims.
2018 Ertiga will be longer and wider than the outgoing car while the MPV will continue with same 2,740 mm wheelbase.Under the hood, it will get K15 1.5-litre petrol unit which debuted on facelifted Ciaz.This unit with 104 HP of power will be paired to 5-speed manual and 4-speed auto.It is likely to get 1.3-litre DDiS fiat sourced diesel engine with 89 HP of power from the present model.A 1.5-litre New diesel engine will debut early next year.
Mahindra Alturas G4 is the name for XUV700/Y400 and is the same variant which has been showcased at the Auto Expo 2018 and has been spied testing a number of times.The word ‘Alturas’ means ‘height’ or ‘pinnacle’.Alturas G4 will be Mahindra’s flagship model and booking for the SUV have begun at Rs. 50,000.Alturas G4 is going to be assembled at Mahindra’s Chakan plant.
Mahindra Alturas G4 will carry a price tag of above Rs. 30 Lakhs while competing with Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Volkswagen Tiguan and Skoda Kodiaq.It will be based on the same platform as of Ssangyong Rexton G4 and can be said second generation Ssangyong Rexon with Mahindra badging.It will be 4.8 metre in length with a wheelbase of 2.83 metre.A total of four colours will be offered for the Mahindra Alturas G4 which includes grey, brown, white and black.
In terms of features, it will get muscular front looks with Full LED headlamps with daytime running lights, 18-inch alloys, electric sunroof and many more premium features.Interior features will include 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, multi-zone climate control setup, electrically adjustable driver and passenger seats.Top-notch safety features will be on offer including hill start assist, electronic stability programme, ABS with EBD, reverse parking camera and as many as 9 airbags.
There will be a total of 2 variants for Alturas G4.Powering the Alturas G4 will be a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine with 185 BHP and 420 NM of torque.Alturas G4 will get both 2WD and 4WD.But Alturas G4 will be launched only with automatic engine and gets paired to 6-speed AT.
