Maruti Suzuki showcased the petrol version of Maruti S Cross back at the Auto Expo 2020. It comes with the same design language, interior scheme, similar dimensions while what’s new is engine options and additional equipment. This is not a facelift of S Cross.
Maruti S Cross will be available in 3 variants, offered in manual and automatic transmission. Trim levels are – Delta, Zeta and Alpha, Sigma being replaced by the value for money Delta trim,
The Japanese carmakers planned to bring the petrol version of S Cross in India by March 2020 but due to the pandemic, the launch has been postponed couple of times and is expected to hit the roads in July 2020.
Diesel spec variants of Maruti S Cross falls between Rs. 8.8 Lakhs and Rs. 11.43 Lakhs (Ex Showroom). The 2020 S Cross with new petrol engine is expected to get a introductory price tag of Rs. 8.5 Lakhs going upto Rs. 12 Lakhs for the Alpha petrol automatic trim.
It will be retailed via the Nexa premium range of dealerships like before and will rekindle its competition with Nissan Kicks, Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.

S Presso was launched in India back in September 2019 and has been churning out sales in good numbers since then.
Feature list, interior, exterior design will remain the same and the 1.0 litre petrol engine will continued to be offered with CNG. Top features are 7-inch infotainment system, speed sensitive automatic door lock, 2 airbags, central locking, manual ac, power windows, halogen headlamps, central locking.
Maruti S Presso CNG will be offered in LXI, LXI (O), Vxi, VXI (O) and VXI+ between Rs. 4.70 Lakhs to Rs. 5.70 Lakhs. It is not going to be provided in the Std and Std optional trims.
Maruti Suzuki will bring the CNG variants of S Presso mini SUV by September 2020.

Maruti Swift is currently offered with 1.2 L petrol engine while the Diesel engine sourced from fiat has been discontinued a long time back.
Now the standard petrol unit in the Swift facelift is going to be replaced by smart hybrid petrol engine which also powers the Dzire compact sedan.
Currently priced between Rs. 5.19 Lakhs and Rs. 8.02 Lakhs, Swift facelift will be upto Rs. 20,000 than the pre facelift version with expected price of Rs. 5.23 Lakhs to Rs. 8.12 Lakhs (Ex Showroom price).
Exterior updates have been made to Swift in which a chrome line bar runs through the centre of the grille, headlamp unit is tweaked as well. Alloy wheels design for the top spec trim will be new.
Coming to the interior, the MID will become much more informational now while providing power and torque distribution, idling time, fuel saved, brake and acceleration and battery level and much more.
New features includes Auto Foldable ORVMs (earlier were only power foldable), 7-inch Smartplay studio infotainment (replaces the earlier system in top model), cruise control in top model and ESP and hill start assist in VXI AMT, ZXI AMT, ZXI+ AMT.
Swift will continue to be built on the HEARTECT platform as this is facelift and not a generation update. This will be the first update for the latest gen hatchback since its launch in India at Auto Expo 2018.
When launched, the pre facelift Swift will not be on sale any more and currently if are planning to buy the hatchback and want good offers, you should buy the Maruti hatchback now.
Swift has been among the top sellers for Maruti Suzuki India Limited and with the update it will be better equipped the before. To be launched in festive season 2020, Swift rivals the likes of Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS and Ford Figo.

Maruti Suzuki has discontinued the diesel mills from its range and replaced it with petrol SHVS and CNG transmission option and without the Diesel engine available, the sales are still growing.
Recently, Maruti Ertiga diesel was spied testing and is expected to get the powertrain soon. Also, in 2020 March, the carmakers removed the diesel from the 7-seater MPV and now going by the demand, the 1.5 litre Diesel engine with BS 6 update is coming back while the 1.3-litre fiat sourced diesel mill was already gone from the MPV in August 2019.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will continue to be offered with current set of engine options, 1.5 litre petrol, petrol SHVS and 1.5 litre petrol-CNG bi fuel option and with the diesel mill coming back, customers have a variety of choose from.
The features list will be same as before. Top features are 7-inch smartplay studio infotainment system, 2 airbags, hill launch assist, ESP, rear parking camera, power foldable ORVMs, 6 speakers, push button start, keyless entry and automatic ac.
Maruti Ertiga currently doesn’t any direct rival, albeit there is Renault Triber but there is price difference and same is the case with Mahindra Marazzo. The only competitor to the MPV was Honda BR-V which has gone due to poor sales but within 24 months, Hyundai and Kia will be entering the segment with their feature rich offerings.
The launch of Ertiga with Diesel engine will take place in the last month of 2020, that is, December.

Maruti Wagon R EV will share the platform, design with the standard Wagon R. It gets a boxy and upright stance. Upfront, the EV features single slat grille with Maruti logo and headlamps on either sides integrates with the grille. Turn indicators are available below the headlamp unit with air dams between the indicators.
Wheels looks similar to Wagon R with the charging socket placed at the side fender. Rear profile has an upright tailgate with tail lamps at quite a bottom end. Wagon R EV has been spied testing multiple times from the inside out.
Coming to the cabin, steering wheel unit comes directly from the Wagon R. Other prominent details here are continuously running ac vents across the dashboard with a 7-inch infotainment system placed at the centre of it. Instead of keeping instrument cluster behind the steering wheel, Maruti Suzuki has mounted it on the dashboard behind the touchscreen system. Gearbox is also dash integrated along with climate control.
Top features of Wagon R EV are power foldable ORVMs, 7” infotainment system, rear wiper + washer, remote keyless entry, front seat belt pretensioner and load limited, dual front airbags, speed sensing auto door lock, central locking, all four power windows among others.
Price of Maruti Wagon R Electric will be between Rs. 9 Lakhs and Rs. 11 Lakhs (Ex Showroom). Although it won’t have any direct rivals but will have competitors including KUV100NXT EV and HBX EV due to the same price sticker.
Expected to the launched in India in Early 2020, the launch of Wagon R EV will take place in February 2021 but initially it will be available for fleet purposes and then after few months, the automakers will have for the private buyers as well.

Like the XL6 is a premium offering with certain cosmetic changes over the Ertiga, similarly the XL5 will be updated in terms of exterior design and likely to be limited to top spec trim and certain engine options.Not only the XL5 will get exterior changes but will be longer, wider and taller than the hatchback as well without a change in platform.
As compared to Wagon R which has big headlamps meeting with from grille, for the XL5, turn indicators will be placed above the projector headlamp unit. Front grille will be sleeker and more stylish than the WagonR.
Wheels will be black out while the other elements remains unchanged. While coming to the rear, XL5 and Wagon R shares the same design for the tail lamps with XL5 having more LED element in it.
Interior upholstery and fabric pattern will be altered a bit to distinguish it from Wagon R. Like eat XL6, XL5 will also get single tone sporty all black seat upholstery.
While Maruti Wagon R comes with 1.0 L Petrol, CNG, 1.2 L Petrol, on the other hand, XL5 will get only 1.2-litre petrol mill with 5 speed Manual and automatic with output figures of 82 BHP and 113 NM. Mileage will be around 20 kmpl.
XL5 variants will be based on the 1.2 VXI and 1.2 ZXI trims (XL5 will get only 2 trims for MT / AMT) of the Wagon R hatchback and Maruti will introduce the premium Wagon R in India at a cost of Rs. 5.50 Lakhs – Rs. 6.5 Lakhs (Ex Showroom). Wagon R is currently priced between Rs. 4.45 Lakhs and Rs. 5.95 Lakhs (Ex Showroom).

Maruti Jimny was showcased in India back in February 2020 at the Auto Expo. The 4th gen Jinmy was been very popular and gained lot of interest since its global debut in the year 2018.
Now the carmakers have finally confirmed the India launch of off roader. Maruti Jimny will be launched in India in September 2021 competing with the likes of Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha. It will be priced between Rs. 9 Lakhs and Rs. 11.5 Lakhs (Ex Showroom).
Maruti Jimny has a boxy silhouette. Upfront it features rounded LED headlamps and muscular front grille in black. Fog lamps are also present and so are big air intakes and large front bumper. Also wheel arch is quite wide which accentuates the SUV stance. Wheels are wide and will be around 16-inch in size. Spare wheel is boot mounted.
The dimensions of Maruti Jimny will be revealed at the time of launch but what’s really impressive is the ground clearance which is expected to around a minimum of 210 mm. Maruti Suzuki will bring a 5-seater version of Jimny in India not the smaller 3-door variant.
