The last T20 was the decider in which Kohli’s unbeaten innings of 80 runs off 52 balls helped the team to reach their highest ever total (224 for 2 wickets) against the England team in this shortest format of the game. England scored 188 runs for a loss of 8 wickets and eventually lost the match by 36 runs.
Virat Kohli has scored in excess of 70 runs three times in the series and with this Kohli has also become highest scoring captain in T20Is. Also the skipper outclassed New Zealand captain, Kane Williamson to score most number of 50s as a captain in t20 internationals.
Speaking on the win, Virat Kohli commented, “It was a complete game for us. Totally outplayed the opposition. Even with so much dew coming in, like last game we’ve defended the total again. Despite Rishabh and Iyer not getting a chance we put on 225. Testimony to our batting depth. Today Rohit and me were both positive in our intent. We knew we could trust each other and one of us can play second fiddle if one takes off. Today it was classic Rohit Sharma. And then Surya coming in at three and taking the game even further away. Then Hardik finishing it.”
For becoming Man of the Series, Virat Kohli was awarded with Hyundai i20 Turbo top end trim finished in Fiery red colour choice. Also recently only, i20 won the prestigious Indian Car of the Year 2021 award as well.
Virat Kohli is also brand ambassador of Audi. He owns a number of Audi cars including S5, RS6, A8L, RS5 and R8 LMX along with Bentley Continental GT, Bentley Flying Spur as well as Land Rover Vogue.
