Honda City Hybrid not only delivers better mileage but also boasts certain cosmetic upgrades over standard City.

Honda City Hybrid will go on sale in early. Bookings for the hybrid sedan are already underway. But actually how does City Hybrid differs from its standard iteration? This articles covers all the detailed points:

1. Exterior differences

Notable visible changes in City Hybrid are slightly tweaked front grille, fog lamp housing, illuminated Honda logo at front & rear, trunk lid spoiler as well as rear diffuser.

2. Interior Differences

As compared to black and beige interior theme of standard City, you will be in dual tone ivory and black environment in City Hybrid.

Also, some additonal equipment in form of electric parking brake can be seen here. Instrument cluster is still semi digital but displays additional information like power folw, adaptive cruise control and other readings.

While most of the aspects are exactly similar, overall weight has gone up thanks to addition of battery and two electric motors coming in. Boot details are yet to be revealed.

Honda City Hybrid is around 8 kmpl more fuel efficient than petrol City and delivers 2.4 kmpl better mileage over its diesel counterpart.

5. Features difference

Based on top end ZX trim of Honda City, the hybrid packs in additional equipment includuing electric parking brake, all 4 disc brakes, ADAS features like Lane keep assist, high beam assist, adaptive cruise control, road departure mitigation system and collision mitigation braking system. 

6. Price difference

Honda City retails between Rs 11.23 lakh and Rs 15.18 lakh (Price – Ex Showroom). Hybrid is based on top end petrol trim of City, which costs Rs 13.99 lakh in manual combo and when paired with CVT gearbox, the price is Rs 14.98 lakh (All Prices, Ex Showroom). City Hybrid is expected to carry a price sticker of Rs 18 lakhs.

Post this, Honda Cars India will introduce CNG in Amaze sedan which has been actually delayed to Q3. All the rivals of the sedans now comes with CNG option. The Japanese manufacturer will then launch new mid size Creta/Seltos rivalling SUV by January next year.
