In terms of specs, Tata Harrier is longer, wider, taller and has more wheelbase when compared to Kia Seltos.While the cargo area of Kia Seltos at 433 litres is 8 L more than that of Harrier.Both of them ride on 17 inch wheels while Harrier has a much better ground clearance at 205 mm.

Kia Seltos gets 2 petrol engine while as of now Harrier doesn’t offer.Seltos is powered by 1.5 L naturally aspirated petrol unit making 113 BHP of power and is paired with 6 Speed manual and 7 Step CVT transmission.While there is also a turbocharged 1.4 GDI variant which produces torque as high as 242 NM.Along with 6 Speed MT, it also gets 7 Speed DCT option.

Both these SUVs come with Diesel engine options.While Harrier gets a bigger 2.0 L fiat sourced turbocharged Diesel engine teamed with 6 speed manual gearbox producing 138 BHP of power and 350 NM of peak torque.Seltos has a smaller 1.5 L turbo Diesel engine with 250 NM of maximum torque.Power is transmitted through 6 speed manual and torque converter automatic.
Seltos is expected to be priced between Rs. 11 Lakhs and Rs. 17 Lakhs while Harrier costs Rs. 13 L for the base model and Rs. 16.76 L for the top end which makes it slightly more cheaper than Seltos (All Prices, Ex Showroom)

Although both these SUVs comes up with Diesel engine but you get automatic for diesel in Seltos only.So this is one big reason for considering Seltos over Harrier although Harrier will get an automatic option by end of this year.
Seltos has more features on offer as compared to Tata Harrier.Harrier even misses out on sunroof.Seltos also offers first in segment 8 inch Heads up Display, UV Cut Glass, Rear Sunshade and much more.

Although both these SUVs are neck to neck in terms of safety features on offer but Kia Seltos has slightly more safety equipments including 360 degree camera with class leading features of blind spot detection along with front and rear parking sensors and all four disc brakes.
Since Harrier has much bigger dimensions when compared to Seltos, it translates into better space inside the cabin.It will be much more spacious compared to Seltos.However, Harrer has slightly less boot area at 425 L with a difference of 8 L when compared to Seltos’s 433 L trunk capacity.
Tata Harrier undercuts Kia Seltos in terms of pricing.Kia Seltos will be priced slightly more premium than Harrier which makes Harrier more value for money.
