In India, we will be getting the Russian spec Solaris as the facelifted Verna and not the Chinese Spec Verna.First of all, the headlamps grows larger in size and projector unit gets replaced by all LED headlamps.The cascading chrome grille gets bigger in size and the projector fog lamps are placed in a triangular housing.Hyundai India will also update the design of wheels in facelift Verna.Side look of the Verna remains unchanged while at the rear, the tail lamps looks have LED elements while certain changes have been made to the bumper to make it look even more stylish.

Hyundai Verna Facelift will be available in 2 interior theme options – Black and Beige or All Black Theme.While the dual tone scheme will be available for 1.5 L engines, the sporty single tone theme will be reserved for 1.0 turbo engine trims only.It gets all new dashboard and the 7 inch infotainment system paves way to bigger 8 inch touchscreen system.While other material remains untouched, the instrument cluster is now all digital and looks similar to one in New Creta 2020.

The facelifted Verna comes with BS 6 compliant all new engines.It gets 1.5 L petrol mill with 114 BHP @ 4000 RPM and 144 NM @ 4500 RPM of torque.It gets the option of 6 speed manual and 7 step CVT with mileage of 17.1 kmpl and 18.1 kmpl respectively.The 1.0 L 3 cylinder turbo petrol is derived from Venue compact SUV and makes 118 BHP @ 6000 RPM and 172 NM @ 1500 RPM.It sends power to 7 Speed DCT gearbox with fuel efficiency of 17.8 kmpl.Both these engine options replaces the current lineup of petrol engines.

The two old BS 4 Diesel engines gets replaced by new BS VI compliant 1.5 L 4 Cylinder diesel powertrain with output figures of 114 BHP @ 4000 RPM and 250 NM @ 1500 RPM.It will be available with 6 Speed manual and automatic transmission options with ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 21.4 kmpl and 18.3 kmpl respectively.This means that in facelift Verna, there will be only one Diesel engine on offer.

Presently, the Hyundai Verna is priced between Rs. 8.18 Lakhs for the base E 1.4 L petrol manual variant and Rs. 14.08 Lakhs for the top end diesel automatic trim (All Prices, Ex Showroom).With the facelift, the prices of base trims will go up by around Rs. 20,000 while the top end variants will be launched with the same price tag since a smaller engine with slightly smaller engine capacity will replace the current set of BS 4 powertrains.Verna Facelift is expected to be priced between Rs. 8.38 Lakhs to Rs. 14 Lakhs (Ex Showroom Price).

Hyundai Verna Facelift will be launched in India on March 26, 2020.It will be the second launch of the month by the carmakers after New Creta on 17th March.Verna Facelift will rival the likes of New Generation Honda City which will be unveiled in India on March 16 and going up on sale in April 2020, Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Vento and Maruti Ciaz.
