Mahindra is gearing up for a major SUV offensive in the coming months, with three exciting new models set to launch before the end of the year. From a refreshed version of the iconic Thar to a new electric subcompact SUV and a bold 7-seater EV based on the XUV700, the lineup promises something for every SUV lover. Here’s a quick look at what’s coming soon from the automaker.

Mahindra XUV 3XO EV

Expected Launch: Q3 2025

Mahindra will soon launch the electric version of the XUV 3XO which will look identical to the ICE version in terms of looks both from the outside and the inside. It’ll have new features such as powered driver seat, ventilated front seats, etc. Other than that, don’t expect anything else.

Battery Specs:

  • 34.5 kWh Battery Pack: 148 BHP, 310 NM – 350 – 400 KMs Range

Mahindra XEV.7E

Expected Launch: H2 2025

Mahindra during the premiere of the BE 6 and the XEV.9e accidentally revealed the images of the XEV 7E giving us a look at how the production-version will look. The EV is likely to debut at the auto expo with launch likely taking in the second half of 2025. The XEV 7e will come with big features like augmented heads-up display (HUD), triple 12.3-inches displays, powered front seats, Level 2+ ADAS, Ventilated Seats for both front and 2nd row, possible powered captain seats in 2nd row, etc. The XEV 7e comes in three-row Configuration which is essentially the EV derivative of the XUV700. The EV will come with the same 2 Battery Packs:

  • 59 kWh Battery Pack: 228 BHP, 380 NM Torque – 500+ KM Range
  • 79 kWh Battery Pack: 282 BHP, 380 NM Torque – 650+ KM Range

Mahindra Thar 3-Door Facelift

Mahindra will also launch a facelift for the 3-Door Thar by festive season with exterior looks similar to the Thar Roxx like new front fascia, alloy wheels, C-shape LED DRLs, etc. Interiors will also see upgrades with some additional equipments like dual 10.25-inch displays – Infotainment and Digital Cluster; Front Seat Ventilation, Electronic Parking Brake, and possibly ADAS as well.

Engine Specs will be the same as before:

  • 1.5 L Diesel: 117 BHP, 300 NM – 6 Speed MT
  • 2.2 L Diesel: 130 BHP, 300 NM – 6 Speed MT / AT
  • 2.0 L Turbo Petrol: 150 BHP, 300 – 320 NM – 6 Speed MT / AT
