Kia’s upcoming New SUV will be the most-feature loaded SUV in its segment!

Kia has begun testing the next-generation Seltos, marking a significant design shift from its current facelifted iteration. Spy shots shows fresh styling, closely resembling the Kia Telluride. The latest images provide a closer look at the SUV’s updated LED headlights.

New Kia Seltos Headlight Design

The next-gen Seltos features five vertically stacked LED elements on both ends of its front fascia, replacing the current model’s horizontal layout. Four of these LEDs are housed within a rectangular headlight unit, slightly elongated in shape. Three of them appear uniform in size, likely featuring projector elements between them. The fourth LED, positioned within the headlight cluster, is noticeably taller with a unique design.

A fifth LED element, even taller, is positioned outside the headlight unit at the bumper’s edge, emphasizing the SUV’s width. Previous spy shots suggest that the fourth and fifth LEDs serve dual purposes as turn indicators and daytime running lights. Interestingly, Kia appears to have removed fog lights from this iteration of the Seltos.

Other Details

The interiors were spotted with dual-tone theme similar to the one seen in Kia’s new SUV, Syros. The dashboard will be equipped with 30-inches Trinity Panoramic Displays, minimalistic and premium centre console, and improved material quality. The mid-variant was spotted with no seat ventilation for the rear seats like it’s offered on the Syros top trims.

Kia will continue offering the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5L turbo-petrol, and 1.5L diesel engines in India. A new 1.6L hybrid powertrain will also be introduced, similar to the ones in the Hyundai Kona and Kia Niro. This self-charging hybrid system is expected to improve fuel efficiency and lower emissions. Additionally, Kia is reportedly working on an e-AWD hybrid system, which, if launched, would make the Seltos the first hybrid SUV in its segment with all-wheel drive, enhancing traction and performance in various conditions.
