Honda Amaze throughout 2024 delivered 29,690 Units. This year it got the biggest update by introducing Level 2 ADAS which no model in segment has introduced and makes it the most affordable car with ADAS in India!

The Honda Amaze recorded total sales of 29,690 units in 2024, reflecting its journey in the compact sedan segment. While some months saw significant growth, others faced steep declines due to changing market trends and competition. Despite fluctuations, the Amaze remained a key model for Honda in India.

Monthly Sales Performance of Honda Amaze in 2024

January started with 2,972 units sold, but February saw a slight decline of 6.7%, bringing sales down to 2,774 units. The downward trend continued in March, with sales dropping 3.5% to 2,678 units. April recorded the sharpest fall of the year, plunging 32.9% to 1,796 units, signaling weak demand. Honda mades changes to the Amaze line-up, and was selling it in only 2 variants – S, and VX.

May brought a positive turnaround, with sales increasing 23.3% to 2,215 units. However, June saw another dip to 1,794 units, down by 19.0%. July recorded strong recovery, climbing 29.7% to 2,327 units, followed by continued growth in August, where 2,585 units were sold, marking an 11.1% rise.

September sales further improved to 2,820 units, a 9.1% growth, but October saw a decline of 15.1%, bringing sales down to 2,393 units. November became the best-performing month, with a massive 55.0% increase to 3,708 units. However, December saw a sharp 29.1% decline, dropping to 2,628 units. In this month, Honda launched the new generation Amaze with first-in class, Level 2 ADAS, Semi-Digital 7-inch Cluster, etc.

Reasons for Honda Amaze’s Sales Fluctuations

The Honda Amaze faced stiff competition from rivals like the Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor, which influenced its sales throughout the year. While occasional sales boosts were driven by festive demand and discounts, the outdated design and lack of major updates impacted overall performance.

To address this, Honda launched the 3rd-generation Amaze in India as the previous model was falling behind competitors. The new version aimed to boost sales with updated features and a refreshed design, making the Amaze more competitive in the segment.

The steep drop in December could also be attributed to buyers waiting for bigger discounts in the New Year season before making a purchase or waiting to gain opinions on whether to buy the new generation model.

Final Thoughts

Despite challenges, Honda Amaze remained a strong contender in the compact sedan segment, finishing the year with 29,690 units sold. With the introduction of the new-generation model, Honda aims to strengthen its market position in 2025, offering buyers an improved package to take on its rivals.
