It is time to do a comparison of Hyundai Creta against the Hyundai Alcazar to see which Hyundai SUV is better for you to buy.

Hyundai Creta vs Hyundai Alcazar – Exterior and Interior

As you can see at the front of the Creta, it has square-shaped grille with top edges curved and is finished in chrome with four horizontal line across the grille. Split LED DRLS with tri-square shaped LED lights with fog lamps and indicators below them and the bumpers are finished in faux silver skid plate. Moving to the side, it’s simple looking with roof rails on top and 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. At the rear, LED taillamps look similar to the split headlamps.

The front of the Alcazar will first make think of Creta because of the resemblance between the two. There is a chrome line that joins the three-pot LED headlamps with split LED DRLs. The grille of the Alcazar has rectangular chrome elements and the bumper front and rear finished in faux silver skid plate with fog lamps and indicators at the sides.

From the side, the Alcazar has side step which is first-in segment, rides on alloy wheels which are standard, and roof rails are just for show, they’re non-functional. The rear will remind people of the Ford Endeavour because of the taillights joining the chrome bar. It has no powered tail gate and has mini-LEDs inside the taillights and dual exhausts at the right bottom side.

The Creta and Alcazar has the same dashboard design with 10.25-inch infotainment system with vertically positioned AC vents at the sides. The Creta does not get the dual-tone dashboard option which the Alcazar does have. Both the cars have the same multi-function steering wheel and both have the same 8-speaker Bose Premium sound system. Around the gear level, it has buttons for functions such as electric parking brake with auto hold, ventilated sets, and drive mode selector.

As you can see at the dimensions, the Hyundai Creta has a length of 4300mm which is 200mm shorter than the 4500mm length of Alcazar. Both the cars have the same 1790mm width on offer. The Creta has a height of 1635mm which is 40mm less than the 1675mm width of Alcazar. The Creta has a wheelbase of 2610mm which is 150mm shorter than the Alcazar height of 2760mm. The Creta has a ground clearance of 190mm which is 10mm shorter than the Alcazar’s ground clearance of 200mm.

The Creta has 433 litres of boot space on offer which is 253 litres more on offer than the Alcazar’s 180 litres of boot space. Both the cars has the same fuel tank capacity of 50 litres. However, the Creta has a kerb weight of 1,690 kg which is 75 kg more heavier than the Alcazar.

Hyundai Creta has two petrol and one diesel engines to offer – 1.5-litre petrol, 1.4-litre petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel. The 1.5-litre petrol engine produces 113 bhp and 144 Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed Manual Transmission, and CVT Transmission. Then there is the 1.4-litre turbo petrol that is offered with the turbo variants like SX Turbo. It produces 138 bhp and 242 Nm of torque paired to 7-speed DCT Transmission only and no Manual Transmission on offer.

Lastly, it has the 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces 113 bhp and 250 Nm of torque paired to 6-speed Manual Transmission and 6-speed Automatic Transmission.

The Hyundai Alcazar recently got an new engine option and that is the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that puts out 157 bhp and 253 Nm of torque paired to a 6-speed Manual Transmission and 7-speed DCT Transmission, and has a top speed of 175+ kmph. Then there is the 1.5-litre diesel engine that puts out 113.42 bhp and 250 Nm of torque paired to a 6-speed Manual Transmission and 6-speed Automatic Transmission with a fuel efficiency of 20.4 km/l.

In the end, the decision to buy which car depends totally on you, however, you can either go for Creta if you don’t have the requirement of an 6-seater or 7-seater SUV MPV, otherwise the Alcazar is a good choice as it’s basically a Creta except it has 360-degree camera.
