Hyundai Motors has revealed the sales figures for April 2024, and reports 63,701 units total sales over the last year. SUVs such as Creta, Venue, and Exter have contributed about 67% of the domestic sales.
Hyundai Motors Sales: April and YTD Sales!
In April, Hyundai sold 50,201 units domestically which is just a 1% Year-on-Year Growth over the April 2023 with 49,701 units. Moreover, it had volume growth by exactly 500 Units. Major contributors towards the domestic sales were the Creta, Venue, and Exter SUV with a 67% contributions. Additionally, if you compare it with the March 2024 Sales which is 53,001 Units, it’s down by 2,800 Units in volume growth.

Looking at the Exports, it’s up from the 8,500 Units last year to 13,500 units in April 2024. The Year-on-Year growth is by 58.8% and increase in volume exports is by 5,000 Units. On comparison with March 2024 which was 12,600 Units, the exports are up by 900 Units in volume.

Hyundai Motors domestically has sold 2,10,518 units during the January to April 2024 period which is up by 6.6% compared to 1,94,408 units. Exports growth was higher by 10.6% from 42,420 units last year same period to 46,900 in same 2024 period. Cumulative Year-To-Date (YTD) Sales were 2,57,418 units which is growth by 7.3% over 2,39,828 units same period last year.
Hyundai recently announced it plans to start the production of its first electric SUV by the end of 2024 which is likely for the Creta EV with launch early next year. Moreover, Hyundai plans to produce 15 lakhs annually in India.
