Hyundai Motors India has trademarked Casper nameplate in India. Casper internationally is underpinned by the Hyundai-Kia K1 Platform used in the past with Grand i10 Nios, Santro and Exter.

Hyundai has trademarked Casper nameplate for India which is an SUV sold in other international markets. Although there is no official confirmation from Hyundai about plans on launching the Casper in India. In some cases, brands register names in advance to avoid future trademark related issues. SUV is insanely popular in India, and seeing that Hyundai launched the Exter, the most affordable SUV from the brand.

With Casper, they could create a entirely new segment with the base variant price dropping even more down, most probably around the Rs. 5 Lakh Mark. This means you can also buy the Alto VXI Plus trim which is slightly more (Rs. 5.35 L). To be clear, Casper measures 3595 MM in length, 1595 MM Width, and 1575 MM Height while boasting 2400 MM Wheelbase.
The Casper features round headlamps, Dual U-like LED DRLs, mesh grille, and prominent bumper. Moving to the side, it has square-ish wheel arches, unique sporty alloy wheels, C-Pillar mounted rear. door handles, functional roof rails on top, and tall stance profile. The rear features mini-LEDS that as a whole acts as tail-lights, and the rest looks similar to the front.
Inside, it gets minimalistic interiors like the free-standing 8-inch Infotainment System, Digital Instrument Cluster same as the Venue, 2-spoke steering wheel in front, dash-mounted centre console and gear lever. Hyundai offers ADAS with Casper internationally, but India will not get this due to price concerns. However, it should definitely get 6 Airbags as standard.
As for Engine Options, expect the 1.0 Petrol and 1.0 Turbo Petrol Engine offered with the SUV with transmission choices being 5 Speed Manual (MT) and Automatic Choices.
If the SUV does launch at Rs. 5 Lakh, it may pose a threat to Tata Punch, Hyundai Exter, Maruti Ignis, and Alto.
