
MG Windsor Hits 50,000 Unit Sales Milestone Faster Than Any Other EV In India!
JSW MG Motor India has confirmed that the MG Windsor has crossed the 50,000 unit sales milestone in a little over 400 days since production began in October 2024. This achievement makes it the fastest passenger EV in India to reach 50,000 sales, highlighting rapid customer acceptance and strong nationwide demand. From October 2024 to October 2025, the Windsor recorded 48,797 units. The remaining 2,200+ units came in the first 19 days of November 2025 alone, showcasing its impressive daily run rate and growing popularity across markets.

The Windsor has been averaging 3,750+ units monthly sales, frequently crossing 4,000 units in recent months. Demand comes not only from metro regions but also from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, proving India’s increasing comfort with practical, modern electric mobility.
At the announcement, Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director, JSW MG Motor India, had the following to say,

The model also made a strong start at launch, securing 15,176 bookings within the first 24 hours in October 2024 and maintaining leadership as one of India’s best-selling EVs for several months.
On average, MG has sold around five Windsor units every hour since launch.
Range Boost With New Pro Editions

Earlier this year, MG expanded the lineup with new Pro variants – Essence Pro and Exclusive Pro variants. Both were equipped with a 52.9 kWh battery with an ARAI-certified 449 km range on a full charge. The Essence Pro variant also adds Level 2 ADAS, V2V, and V2L capabilities—strengthening its feature list in the compact EV segment.
Under the Battery-as-a-Service programme, buyers can get the Windsor Pro at Rs 13.09 lakh while paying Rs 4.5 per km for battery usage. For customers preferring full ownership, prices begin at Rs 18.09 lakh (ex-showroom).
Windsor Inspire Edition Adds More Momentum
Earlier this year, MG had introduced a new special edition – Inspire Edition – to celebrate the rapid growth of Windsor. This further boosted customer interest hence helping them achieve the 50,000 unit sales milestone.
