India’s fastest accelerating and affordable convertible car will launch soon. This car is faster than Porsche, BMW’s, etc.

MG Motor is bringing its fastest electric vehicle to India—the MG Cyberster, a high-performance MG sports car. Units have already started arriving at MG Select dealerships across the country. A video recently surfaced online, showing the Cyberster being unloaded at a showroom in Diamond Red paint, immediately drawing attention from onlookers and staff.

Inspired Design with Scissor Doors

The MG Cyberster stands out with its aerodynamic styling, LED headlamps, black fabric soft top, bold rear diffuser, and large alloy wheels (likely 19 or 20 inches). MG is expected to offer it in additional shades like Inca Yellow, Ivory White, and Andes Gray.

This MG sports car features electrically operated scissor doors, activated via key fob, equipped with radar sensors and anti-pinch tech for enhanced safety. Its convertible roof design adds to the roadster appeal, and the model seen at dealerships had the top down during display.

Inspired by the classic MG B Roadster from the 1960s, the Cyberster combines retro roadster character with a futuristic and aggressive design. Globally, it offers multiple roof colour options, which are likely to be available in India as well.

Powertrain and Performance Specs

Though MG India hasn’t disclosed full technical details yet, the Cyberster is expected to follow the UK-spec model’s configuration. The top variant will likely get a dual-motor AWD layout with a 77kWh battery, producing 510 hp and 725 Nm torque. This MG sports car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds and has a CLTC-certified range of 580 km.

Globally, the MG Cyberster is available in two versions—Trophy and GT. The Trophy features a single rear-mounted motor with a 64kWh battery, generating 340 PS and 475 Nm. It can do 0-100 kmph in 4.9 seconds and has a top speed of 193 kmph. MG may offer both variants in India.

Chassis, Handling, and Feature Expectations

The Cyberster uses a double-wishbone front suspension and a five-link rear setup, designed for precise handling and comfort. Its 50:50 weight distribution further boosts agility and cornering performance, making it a well-balanced MG sports car for Indian enthusiasts.

Expected features include a triple-screen display layout, automatic climate control with ventilation seats, powered seats, ADAS Level 2, 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake with auto hold, premium sound system, and auto-dimming IRVM.

To Be Sold via MG Select Dealerships

The MG Cyberster will be sold through MG’s new premium dealership network MG Select. This special retail format is meant for fully imported luxury models and will also sell upcoming products like the MG M9 and Majestor.

The MG Select outlets are being opened in major cities, focusing on high-end retail experiences with dedicated workshops and trained staff. Initially, 12 dealerships will be operational, with plans to expand further.

Pre-bookings for the Cyberster are already open at a token amount of Rs 51,000 through MG Select showrooms and MG Motor India’s official website. This all-electric MG sports car is poised to bring performance, design, and exclusivity to Indian EV buyers.
