So, Kia India registered sales of 20,022 units in September 2023 which is a little month-on-month growth by 4.18% compared to 19,219 units in August. Leading the sales for Kia is the Seltos SUV with 10,558 units which is a month-on-month decline by 1.31% compared to 10,698 unit sales in August 2023. Kia had recently launched the facelift of the Seltos that got big changes like the new connected LED taillamps, Level 2 ADAS, dual 10.25-inch displays, 2-zone climate controls, and so much more.
Moving on, the Sonet is at 2nd position with 4,984 units which is improved growth by 20.97% compared to 4,120 units in August. The Sonet Facelift is expected by the year end, or in early 2024, but a youtuber uploaded a whole walkaround of the Sonet Facelift which gave us good idea what the update could be. The interiors will be updated, the exterior’s front fascia has been updated for a sportier look, and the rear gets Seltos similar connected LED taillamps. It’s also possible it’ll get camera-based ADAS which won’t get big features, but rather alert based like Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Monitoring, Forward Collison Warning, and more.
The Carens is at 3rd position with 4,330 unit sales which is lower by just 0.67% in comparison to 4,359 units in August. Kia recently launched the X-Line Edition of the Carens which sees it getting an Rear Entertainment Unit (REU) in second row for the 6 Seater Config. Last but not the least, the Kia sold 150 units of the EV6 which is 257.14% growth over the 42 units in August.
