New Scorpio-N is coming with big upgrades and it’s rivals aren’t ready for it!

Mahindra is gearing up to introduce a major feature update for its popular SUV, the Scorpio N, which was originally launched in 2022. This upcoming upgrade is expected to arrive around the festive season and will play a crucial role in strengthening its position in India against its rivals.

Scorpio N to Get New Variant with Advanced Features

Reports suggest that Mahindra will launch these upgrades as part of a new variant of the Scorpio N. While no major exterior design changes are expected, the update will focus primarily on premium feature additions and enhanced safety. Among the biggest highlights is the introduction of Level 2 ADAS which is a first for the Scorpio N.

The ADAS suite could include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking (AEB), adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, high beam assist, and smart pilot assist. These features are already present in the XUV700 and will significantly improve safety and driving convenience in the Scorpio N as well.

New Features

Another major addition will be the inclusion of a panoramic sunroof, replacing the current single-pane unit that is only available in the top trims. This upgrade will bring the Scorpio N on par with rivals in terms of cabin experience, especially considering its price and segment.

It is also expected that Mahindra may introduce a larger 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system to further modernise the interior.

No Changes to Engine Options

Mechanically, the Scorpio N will continue with the same engine lineup. It will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine, both offered with 6-speed manual and torque converter automatic transmissions. The 4WD system will also remain available as an option, particularly for off-road enthusiasts.

Launch Timeline

The updated Mahindra Scorpio N is expected to hit showrooms around the 2025 festive season. Pricing details have not been officially revealed yet, but the new variant is likely to be positioned slightly above the current top-end models.

With the inclusion of segment-first features like Level-2 ADAS and a panoramic sunroof, the Scorpio N is poised to become an even more attractive offering in the premium SUV space, reinforcing its position as a strong competitor in India.
