Mahindra Thar Roxx competes against the Force Gurkha 5-Door and an SUV small in size, the Maruti Jimny.
Mahindra has launched the Thar Roxx SUV in India at Rs. 12.99 Lakh [introductory price] and has introduced way more features over the 3-Door version.

2024 Mahindra Thar Roxx: Exterior Design
Thar Roxx draws inspiration from the 3-Door Thar but introduces distinct styling elements such as new grille design with six double-stacked slots, replacing the seven-slot design of the 3-door Thar. It retains circular headlamps, now upgraded with LED projectors and C-shaped DRLs, with higher trims expected to include LED fog lamps and a cornering function.
The SUV’s front bumper showcases unique design touches, including integrated fog lamp housings and faux brushed aluminum accents. Higher variants will sport 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, while base to mid-spec trims will be offered 18-inch alloys. The rear door is distinct with a vertically positioned handle, and the quarter glass resembles the Thar EV concept. Most variants will be available in dual-tone paint with a contrast black roof, enhancing its removable hardtop look. At the rear, the Thar Roxx closely resembles the Thar 3-door but features updated C-shaped LED tail-lamps and a redesigned tailgate with an integrated rear wiper and washer.
2024 Mahindra Thar Roxx: Interior Design
The Mahindra Thar Roxx boasts a significantly upgraded interior compared to the Thar 3-Door. It features a larger 10.25-inch free-standing infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 10.2-inch fully digital instrument cluster that includes navigation view function. The interior is enhanced with soft-touch materials on the dashboard, front and rear armrests, rear AC vents, frame-less auto-dimming IRVM, key-less entry, and push-button start. Notable improvements is the addition of rear doors for easy access to the second row and a much bigger boot space which was missing with the 3-Door version.
