Mahindra announced the launch date & name for its upcoming 5-door SUV, the Thar Roxx. Ahead of its debut, the SUV has been frequently spotted during road tests, revealing key design and feature updates.

2024 Mahindra Thar Roxx: Striking Exterior
The exterior of the Thar Roxx was revealed, confirming several leaked details. The SUV features a new front grille with six blocks up and down, distinct from the 3-Door version, and a camera at the top center grille. The circular headlamps retain their classic look but now come with an LED setup and dual-functional C-shaped DRLs.
From the side, you’ll notice the new 19-inch alloy wheels and large, squarish ORVMs equipped with a camera for the 360-degree view. The rear profile sports the same tail-lamps as the 3-Door version, but with full LEDs and an integrated stop lamp. The tailgate-mounted spare tire now comes with a wheel cover.
2024 Mahindra Thar Roxx: Upgraded Interior
Inside, the Thar Roxx maintains a similar layout to the 3-Door version but with several upgrades. It features dual 10.25-inch displays, a panoramic sunroof, driver and center armrests, an XUV700-like steering wheel, rear AC vents, and a wireless charging pad in front of the gear lever. These enhancements provide a more premium and comfortable driving experience.
2024 Mahindra Thar Roxx: Powerful Engine Options
The Thar Roxx will be available with three engine options:
- 1.5 L Diesel Engine for entry-level trims with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
- 2.2 L Diesel Engine with both 6-speed manual (MT) and automatic (AT) gearboxes.
- 2.0 L Turbo Petrol Engine with both 6-speed manual (MT) and automatic (AT) gearboxes.
Additionally, it will offer both Rear-Wheel-Drive (RWD) and 4-Wheel-Drive (4WD) setups, similar to the 3-Door version.
2024 Mahindra Thar Roxx: Pricing and Launch
