Mahindra has entered the final stages of testing the XUV300 and it’s likely the launch is happening sooner, and it makes sense to do a detailed comparison of the XUV300 against one of its rivals, the Maruti Brezza to see how good the Mahindra has prepared its SUV to dominate the segment.
Mahindra XUV300 Facelift vs Maruti Brezza – Exterior
The upcoming XUV300 Facelift gets exterior changes over the outgoing version –
- New C-Shape LED DRLs framing the headlamps.
- New Bumpers with Faux Skid Plates, and new five-spoke design for the 16-inch alloy wheels.
- New LED tri-cube Headlamps design, and C-Shape LED Connected Taillamps.
The interiors will be getting upgrades with close resemblance to XUV400 EV –
- New Free-Standing 10.25-inch Infotainment System with thinner & Sleeker AC vents below.
- Two Rotary Dials to control the Dual-Zone Climate Control, and an LCD Display for HVAC temperatures.
- New 4-Spoke Steering Wheel and behind it is the new 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Cluster.
- The centre console will be updated with new Shifter lever, with Wireless Charging Pad in front, and new upholstery for the cabin.
- On Top, it’ll be getting panoramic sunroof and likely ambient lights for the cabin.
- Rear Seats are split in 60:40 ratio with centre armrest & two cupholders in it.
Maruti Suzuki’s Compact SUV, Brezza exterior profile –
- Dual L-Shaped LED DRLs within the LED Headlamp unit.
- X-Shape Carbon Finish element joining the headlamp unit.
- Cube-shape LED Fog Lamps with Chrome Surrounds.
- Faux Silver Skid Plates as Bumpers, and functional roof rails on top.
- Squared-off wheel arches with 16-inch alloy wheels with curve-ish design.
- The rear gets Y-shape LED Tail-lamps with body creases, and roof spoiler with shark fin antenna on top.
The Brezza interiors –
- Free-Standing 9-inch Infotainment System with thin AC vents below.
- Analog Instrument Cluster with a 3.2-inch TFT display for vehicle information and in front of it is the 4-spoke steering wheel.
- LCD Screen with Two Buttons for Automatic Climate Control, and a ambient light.
- The Dashboard gets Dual-tone theme with silver plastic elements covering the whole dashboard.
- Rear Seats are split in 60:40 ratio with centre armrest & two cupholders in it.
- Just above the instrument cluster, the SUV has Heads-up Display (HUD).

The Maruti Brezza starts from Rs. 8.29 Lakh for the base LXI variant and goes up to Rs. 14.14 lakh for the ZXI Plus DT Automatic Variant, and the Mahindra XUV300 Facelift on the other hand is expected to start from Rs. 8.50 Lakh.
As for the warranty, the XUV300 warranty period is 3 years/1,00,000 KM and can be extended up to 5 years/1,50,000 KM, and the Brezza has a warranty period of 2 years/40,000 Km that can be extended to 5 years/1,00,000 KM.
Mahindra XUV300 Facelift vs Maruti Brezza: Verdict
In the end, the decision to buy which SUV depends totally on you, however, if you’re looking to buy an SUV without wanting to wait for the launch of the XUV300 Facelift, then you should go ahead and buy the Brezza as it comes with good amount of features, very fuel efficient, great amount of space and comfort on offer, and the engine performance is very good. The Mahindra XUV300 Facelift on the other hand is expected to launch in the early 2024, and while we don’t exactly what new features it’s going to get, it’s still worth waiting around to find about it before landing on any decision.
