Mahindra’s upcoming New SUV will take bits from the Thar Roxx while also increasing it’s features list, which could make it more premium than the Nexon.
The Mahindra Thar has long stood as a symbol of ruggedness and adventure in India, and now it’s all set to evolve further. The upcoming Thar 3-Door Facelift has been spied testing for the first time, hinting at a fresh round of design enhancements, feature upgrades, and modern tech additions. While staying true to its off-road roots, Mahindra aims to make the Thar more premium and practical than ever before
What to Expect?
The Mahindra Thar 3-Door Facelift has been spied testing for the first time. It’ll come with design updates inspired by the Thar Roxx. It could get C-shaped LED DRLs, a new LED lighting setup, a revised front fascia, and a fresh alloy wheel design. Mahindra might also offer larger 19-inch wheels to give it a stronger stance.

Inside, the Thar 3-Door Facelift will largely mirror the Thar Roxx. It will feature a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The cabin will come with a new dark-themed upholstery, while the manual handbrake will be replaced by an electronic parking brake. Other updates will include a wireless charging pad placed in front of the gear lever and a centre armrest similar to the Thar Roxx.

Final Thoughts
The Mahindra Thar 3-Door Facelift is shaping up to be a more premium and feature-rich iteration of an already iconic off-roader. With styling cues from the Thar Roxx, a more modern interior, and potential tech upgrades like 360° camera, ADAS, and Harman Kardon audio, Mahindra is clearly aiming to enhance its lifestyle appeal. While the engine options remain unchanged, the added creature comforts and cosmetic improvements could make it a stronger value proposition. It’s still rugged at heart, but now with more tech, style, and everyday usability packed in.
