The Dzire, essentially a sedan version of the hatchback Swift, encompasses all its features, engine options, looks, and more. New Maruti Dzire: Exterior
The upcoming new Dzire will bear a striking resemblance to the anticipated new Swift, featuring a new X-pattern round grille with chrome trim, updated headlamp units with L-shaped LED DRLs, and new 16-inch alloy wheels. Notable exterior elements include “HYBRID” badging on the fender and a dual-tone bumper at the rear, along with revised LED taillamps sporting a C-shaped LED element for a sportier sedan aesthetic.

New Maruti Dzire: Interior
Inside, the Dzire’s cabin will closely resemble models like the Brezza, Baleno, and Fronx. However, it will introduce a new freestanding 9-inch infotainment system, updated climate control panel, and a 4-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel. Continuing with fabric seat upholstery, it will also offer USB-C and USB-A ports for charging beneath the climate controls, along with a 60:40 split for the rear seats.

At the Tokyo Motor Show, the new Swift showcased a promising 1.2-liter 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine from the Z-Series, paired with a 12V battery for mild-hybrid functionality and coupled with a CVT gearbox, available in both 2WD and AWD variants. It’s anticipated that Maruti will carry forward this engine for the new Dzire, except the gearbox choices could be between 5 Speed Manual and Automatic Gearbox.
New Maruti Dzire: New Features
In terms of features, the next-gen Dzire will boast a 9-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, cruise control, automatic climate control, wireless charging pad, LED headlamps, and more. Safety features include a 360-degree surround view camera, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, hill assist, and potentially advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), as hinted by the sighting of ADAS panels on Swift test mules.
New Maruti Dzire: Price and Rivals
Pricing for the current Maruti Dzire ranges from Rs. 6.57 to Rs. 9.39 lakh, with expectations for the new model to start around Rs. 7 lakh. Upon launch, it will compete with rivals such as the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor, and Honda Amaze, and could potentially challenge higher-tier models like the Honda City and even Maruti’s own Ciaz, given its extensive feature set.
