A digital artist unveiled a surprising illustration of the Maruti Suzuki WagonR drawing inspiration from the legendary design of the SUV, Toyota Land Cruiser.
Maruti WagonR with Land Cruiser Front Fascia – Looks Good!
Even though the WagonR and the Land Cruiser sit in opposite ends of the world, one can only imagine how the WagonR would’ve looked if it had the Toyota Land Cruiser’s front face, but thanks to the artists, we can see the renders of how the WagonR would’ve looked. In the real world, Maruti and Toyota has a joint venture that lets both the companies utilize each other’s cars under their respective brand names.
The collaboration is common in India and South Africa, and some of these collabs include – Baleno-Glanza, Vitara Brezza-Urban Cruiser, Grand Vitara-Hyryder, Celerio-Vitz, Invicto-HyCross, and upcoming Ertiga-Rumion. As you can see in the render, the front face of WagonR is the same as the Land Cruiser, i.e, L-shaped LED DRLs in the LED headlamp unit. The front fascia is equipped with Land Cruiser’s grille, which is four horizontal chrome slats with Suzuki logo at the center with the indicators on the bottom edges of the bumper.
It has flat bonnet with aggressive cuts and creases, and there you go, the render is done. The side profile and the rear profile is the same nothing changed at all. By the looks of the hatchback, the Land Cruiser front fascia looks surprisingly perfect for WagonR. In terms of powertrains, Maruti sources their engines to Toyota, and recent launches saw Toyota source their Petrol-Hybrid Powertrain to Maruti. The 1.5-litre petrol-hybrid powertrain produces 91.18 bhp and 122 Nm of torque. It drives the front wheels via eCVT Gearbox.
