A new Tata SUV has been spotted undergoing testing in India completely covered while revealing 19-inches alloy wheels.

Tata Motors is preparing to launch the 2025 Tata Safari EV, which was recently spotted testing in India. The electric SUV, heavily camouflaged, revealed its 19-inch alloy wheels, offering a glimpse of what’s to come.

2025 Tata Safari.ev: Design

The Tata Safari EV will share its design language with the ICE version but with specific updates to distinguish it as an electric vehicle. The front will feature a closed fascia with horizontal slats, setting it apart from the ICE model. The connected DRLs and tail lamps will maintain a familiar look, while EV badging on the front fender and tailgate will highlight its electric nature.

The interior will mirror the ICE version, with a 4-spoke steering wheel featuring an illuminated logo, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, and a panoramic sunroof. Unique EV elements, such as a green-themed cabin, could be introduced to signify its electric status.

2025 Tata Safari.ev: Battery Specs

Battery specifications are yet to be confirmed, but the Safari EV is expected to feature a 55 kWh battery pack, likely borrowed from the Tata Curvv, offering a range of 350-400 km. This option will cater to base and mid-variants with a front-wheel-drive setup. Tata may also include a larger battery pack providing a range of over 500 km, along with an all-wheel-drive option for higher variants.

2025 Tata Safari.ev: Features

The Safari EV will retain most features from the ICE version, including front ventilated seats, powered tailgate, 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS. Additional features, such as terrain modes for AWD, three-zone climate control, and possibly heated front seats, are expected to enhance its appeal.

Tata Motors is likely to launch the Safari EV alongside the Harrier EV in the first quarter of 2025. The expected price range for the Safari EV is between Rs. 25 lakh and Rs. 35 lakh, offering two battery pack options, two seating configurations, and two drive types. With this launch, Tata aims to gain a competitive edge in the growing electric SUV segment.
