Kia EV2: Design

The Kia EV2, recently spotted in spy shots, features a compact and boxy design, giving it a modern yet tough look. Key styling elements include vertically stacked headlights, a squared-off bonnet, and a flat front fascia. Its design looks similar to another to the SUV that launched in India, the Syros.
The charging port is positioned at the front, similar to the EV3, suggesting a front-wheel-drive setup based on Kia’s e-GMP platform. The design takes inspiration from Kia’s larger EV9 while also incorporating elements from the EV3.

From the side, the EV2 gets stylish dual-tone alloy wheels, dual-tone ORVMs with integrated turn signals, and thick body cladding around the wheel arches. Other design highlights include a slightly sloping roofline, roof rails, a blacked-out B-pillar, and traditional door handles. At the back, the sharp tail lamps and high-mounted brake lights give it a distinctive appearance.
Kia EV2: Battery & Performance

The Kia EV2 is expected to offer two battery options:
- 42 kWh LFP battery with a range of around 350 km.
- 62 kWh NMC battery with a 500 km range.
Like Kia’s other EVs, the EV2 will support fast charging, allowing a 10% to 80% charge in about 30 minutes using a public DC fast charger. It may come with a powerful electric motor, possibly similar to the 150 kW unit from the EV3, ensuring strong acceleration.
Additionally, the EV2 could feature Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) charging, allowing users to power small appliances, laptops, and other devices directly from the car’s battery. While it may not include 800V ultra-fast charging, the EV2 aims to be a practical and efficient electric SUV.
Kia EV2: India Launch When?
Kia has officially confirmed that the EV2 will launch internationally in January 2026 and will be positioned below the EV3 in their lineup. However, for the Indian market, there are currently no plans to introduce the EV2. Instead, Kia will focus on launching the electric versions of the Carens, Sonet, and Syros by the end of this year.
