Renault has launched new CNG Kits for the Triber, Kwid, and Kiger. This move helps it expand its presence with the consumers who are more concern about mileage and range anxiety.

Renault has introduced government-approved retrofit CNG kits for its lineup, enhancing its customer-centric appeal. The CNG kits are available for manual and naturally aspirated variants of the Kwid, Kiger, and Triber, with prices starting at Rs. 75,000 for the Kwid and Rs. 79,500 for the Kiger and Triber. These are not factory-fitted kits but retrofit options installed through a preferred vendor using homologated kits that comply with all safety standards.

Renault CNG Kit Price & Availability

Renault’s CNG kits are currently available in a phased manner, with sales initially starting in Maharashtra, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Gujarat. These states account for 65% of Renault’s market share, with nationwide availability planned in the coming months. The company is offering a three-year warranty on the kits, ensuring reliability and peace of mind for customers.

Variants & Features

The CNG kits are compatible with the 1.0L 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine with a manual gearbox. Turbocharged and automatic variants do not support CNG retrofitment. Renault has not specified whether existing owners of these models can install the kits or if they are limited to new purchases. Additionally, the company has not disclosed mileage figures for the CNG-powered versions.

Despite being retrofitted, Renault assures that these CNG kits do not affect the vehicle’s performance. The kits have been developed with uniformity and standardization in fitment to maintain driving quality.
