BYD M6 MPV Spied: All Details!
BYD’s new MPV, M6 has been spied undergoing tests in Indonesia hinting at launch in coming months. From what is visible in terms of exterior design, the electric M6 sports sleek LED Headlamps with multiple cubes inside, chrome bar bearing the BYD logo connects the two headlight units, wide and descending bonnet giving you a much better view of the road enhancing visibility.

The side air intakes on the electric model appear larger and more pronounced than those on the regular Song Max. The side profile carries over the dynamic beltline of the current model. At the rear, the design remains largely unchanged, featuring sizeable taillights connected by a chrome trim piece. Overall, the styling aligns with the vehicle’s MPV positioning, with the “pure electric” badging clearly visible. The M6 MPV is based on its other model, Song Max, the dimensions is expected to be 4710 MM in Length, 1810 MM in Width, 1880 MM in Height, and boast a 2785 MM wheelbase.
Details regarding the powertrain of the all-electric M6 are still scarce, but since the Song Max utilizes a plug-in hybrid setup with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine producing 80 BHP and 135 NM Torque, paired with an electric motor delivering 130 BHP and 316 NM. The Song Max offers a choice of 8.3 kWh and 18.3 kWh battery packs, providing all-electric ranges of 51 KM and 105 KM respectively.
So now you may be wondering, if its coming to India or not? Well, this model is certainly made to be exported to other international market, and it’s possible BYD may eventually bring this electric MPV to India at some point. However, the Indian-specs may differ compared to the Indonesian-version we just saw.
