New SUVs from this Vietnamese brand will begin accepting pre-bookings with launch likely during festive season!
VinFast is officially kickstarting its India operations with the launch of its first electric SUVs – the VF 6 and VF 7. Bookings for both models begin on 15th July 2025, marking the brand’s entry into one of the fastest-growing EV markets globally. Ahead of launch, the company has been showcasing these SUVs at malls across 11 major cities to generate public interest.
VinFast’s Expansion Strategy for India
The Vietnamese EV maker is making an aggressive push into the Indian market with a USD 2 billion (approx. Rs 17,188 crore) investment. A major part of this investment has gone into setting up a local manufacturing facility in Thoothukudi (Tuticorin), Tamil Nadu, with a clear goal of achieving competitive pricing through localisation.
VinFast is also rapidly building its sales and service network. The company has tied up with 13 dealer groups to open 32 showrooms across 27 cities, with the target to hit 35 dealerships before the end of 2025. In parallel, myTVS will support after-sales with 120 service points across India.
The brand is expected to launch the VF 6 and VF 7 officially during the upcoming festive season 2025, with sales beginning soon after.
