Hyundai is developing a new three-row SUV which will be offered with Petrol and Diesel Powertrain, but will also get the Hybrid Powertrain. It’ll be manufactured at the company’s new Talegaon plant.
New Hyundai 7-Seater SUV – What’s Known?
Hyundai is planning to launch a new 7-seater hybrid SUV in India, positioned between the Alcazar and Tucson. Expected to debut within the next two years, this SUV, codenamed Ni1i, will be produced at Hyundai’s Talegaon facility near Pune, alongside the next-generation Venue. It will be the brand’s first hybrid SUV in India, focusing on improved fuel efficiency and lower emissions.
The Ni1i SUV might be based on the long-wheelbase Tucson version sold in China, measuring around 4.68 meters in length. This design could provide more space than the Alcazar while offering a premium experience.
New Hyundai 7-Seater SUV – Engine Options?
While nothing is known at the moment, we expect Hyundai to offer the following choices –
- 1.5 L Turbo Petrol – 158 BHP, 253 NM Torque – 6 Speed MT, 7 Speed DCT
- 2.0 L Diesel – 183 BHP, 416 NM Torque – 8 Speed AT (same as Tucson)
- New 1.5 L Petrol Hybrid with 6 Speed DCT Transmission
