New Mahindra’s 7-Seater SUV has been spotted with India’s New Favourite Feature!

Mahindra is preparing a comprehensive facelift for the XUV700, a vehicle that marked a turning point for the brand with its tech-rich and premium approach. The new version has been spotted testing multiple times, and now, for the first time, interior details have been revealed through fresh spy shots. While the current model still stands strong in its segment, Mahindra is gearing up to raise the bar further with new features, a modernised cabin, and subtle exterior enhancements.

Triple Screen Dashboard

One of the most talked-about additions in the facelifted Mahindra XUV700 is the new triple-screen dashboard layout. This setup includes a digital driver display, a large central infotainment screen, and a third screen likely meant for the front passenger—similar to what Mahindra showcased in the XEV 9e. This multi-screen layout not only elevates the tech quotient of the SUV but also aligns it with evolving customer expectations and competing premium offerings like the upcoming Tata Sierra.

In addition to the screens, the test mule reveals a new steering wheel with a clean two-spoke design and an illuminated Mahindra logo, again inspired by the XEV 9e. Changes are also expected in the central console and AC vent layout. Upholstery materials and trim quality could also receive an upgrade to enhance overall cabin appeal.

While these changes are welcome, several key features that customers have been asking for might finally make it to the facelift. These include rear ventilated seats, a rear wireless charging pad, auto-dimming IRVM, digital key with NFC integration, a powered ottoman function for second-row passengers, and possibly multi-zone climate control for rear occupants.

Refreshed Exterior

Although the test mule is camouflaged, a few design elements of the Mahindra XUV700 facelift are now visible. At the front, a new grille is evident, giving the SUV a bolder and more rugged appeal. The current C-shaped LED DRLs are likely to be replaced with a new setup that adds a sharper look. While the circular projector headlamps seen in some mules may be temporary, the final version is expected to feature a more modern lighting design.

The bumpers at both ends will be redesigned, contributing to a more aggressive stance. A revised air dam at the front and tweaked lower fascia add to the visual refresh. So far, the side profile and rear design remain unchanged, but future test mules may reveal updates to these sections as well. Mahindra could take some inspiration from its upcoming EVs like the XEV 7e for the rear styling.

No Changes to Engine Options

Under the hood, Mahindra is likely to continue with the existing powertrain options for the XUV700 facelift. These include the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and the 2.2-litre diesel engine, both paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The diesel automatic variants will continue to offer an AWD option in higher trims.

Launch Timeline

The Mahindra XUV700 facelift is expected to be launched sometime in 2026. It will continue to rival the likes of Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Hyundai Alcazar, but with a more premium interior and tech-rich features, Mahindra aims to further strengthen its position in the 7-seater SUV segment.
