The new AX5 Select variant is positioned between the AX3 and the AX5 trim, and sold in seven-seater configuration only. Few weeks ago, Mahindra had launched the MX trim with 7 Seater configuration for the SUV to make it accessible for other consumers.

The AX5 Select is available in both petrol and diesel engines with the option to choose between the Manual and Automatic Gearbox. The 2.2 L Turbo Petrol delivers 197 BHP and 380 NM Torque while the 2.2 L Diesel engine produces 152 BHP and 360 NM Torque for lower trims, and 182 BHP and 420 NM Torque for Manual and 450 NM Torque for Automatic Gearbox in higher trims. Both the engines get 6 Speed Manual (MT) and Torque-Converter Automatic Gearbox.
