Ahead of the official launch of the new Maruti Swift on May 9, 2024, new spy shots has surfaced, offering a sneak peek at the base variant’s exterior, notably sporting steel wheels.

Fresh spy shots of the base variant of new Maruti Swift has leaked showcasing an evolved design that preserves the model’s iconic appeal while incorporating subtle upgrades. The base trims as seen in spy shots shows the car will feature steel wheels – a common feature; LED DRLs at front, LED Tail-lamps, Projector headlamps, and black door handles on the sides.

Inside, expect the swift to sport Manual Air Conditioner, Analog Instrument Cluster, no steering mounted controls, fabric seat upholstery, no leatherette on the gear shift, no rear AC vents, and that’s about it. Other than that, the base trim will have 6 Airbags which is standard across all the trims; Rear Parking Sensors, ABS with EBD, Hill Assist, etc.
In Engine Options, the new Swift will debut new Engine such as 1.2 L 3 Cylinder Z12 Engine producing 82 BHP, and 108 NM Torque mated to both 5 Speed Manual and Automatic Gearbox. Maruti will also offer a CNG option with this engine except automatic transmission will not be available. This new engine compared to K12 version will be more fuel efficient.
Bookings for the new Swift at a token fee of Rs. 11,000.
The new Swift upon its launch will compete against the Tata Tiago, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, and Maruti Baleno.
