Mercedes-Benz V-Class is a rolling luxury lounge on wheels, blending limousine-like rear comfort, bold AMG styling and powerful petrol-diesel options!

Mercedes-Benz has officially launched the 2026 V-Class in India at an introductory price of Rs 1.4 crore (ex-showroom). The luxury MPV is locally assembled at the brand’s Chakan facility in Pune,Maharashtra which helps it stay competitive in the premium segment. Deliveries are set to begin by the end of March, with priority given to existing Mercedes customers. The V-Class rivals models like the Lexus LM and Toyota Vellfire.

Exterior Design

The 2026 Mercedes-Benz V-Class is offered in India only in the Extra Long Wheelbase (LWB) version, which makes it the longest passenger Mercedes currently on sale in the country. It measures 5,370 mm in length, 1,928 mm in width, 1,880 mm in height and has a massive 3,430 mm wheelbase. The MPV comes standard with the AMG Line package, giving it a sporty and bold appearance. At the front, it features a large three-pointed star grille with chrome detailing, AMG-specific bumper elements, and adaptive Multibeam LED headlamps with LED DRLs. There is also an illuminated grille surround that enhances its premium appeal.

In profile, the V-Class has a clean slab-sided design with electrically operated sliding rear doors and large glass windows that add to the airy cabin feel. It rides on 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, although larger wheels are available internationally. At the rear, the upright tailgate is electrically operated and the rear glass can be opened separately for easy access to luggage space.

The Luxury MPV also gets LED tail lamps with vertical elements, roof rails and multiple colour options including Obsidian Black, High-Tech Silver, Sodalite Blue, Rock Crystal White and Alpine Grey.

Step inside and the 2026 V-Class focuses heavily on rear-seat comfort. The dashboard layout is clean and modern, featuring dual 12.3-inch displays – one for the digital instrument cluster and the other for infotainment. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are supported.

The gear selector is mounted on the steering column, freeing up space between the front seats. Front occupants get powered seats with ventilation and memory function.

Mercedes is offering both 4-seater and 6-seater layouts:

  • 4-Seater Version: Designed for chauffeur-driven buyers. Rear captain seats offer extendable leg support, heating, ventilation, and massage functions.
  • 6-Seater Version: Offers flexible second-row arrangements, including lounge-style seats that can face the third row for a conference-style setup.

The second and third rows come equipped with:

  • Individual sunblinds
  • Dedicated AC vents (triple-zone climate control)
  • Ventilated seats (a segment-first feature in India)
  • Wireless charging pads
  • Deployable cupholders

The lounge seats can also be reconfigured or moved to create additional space when required. Other premium touches include:

Interestingly, both variants are priced identically at Rs 1.4 crore (ex-showroom). Mercedes also provides a standard 3-year warranty, with optional service packages starting from Rs 90,000.

Safety

A major highlight of the 2026 V-Class is the inclusion of Airmatic air suspension with adaptive damping as standard. It has been specifically tuned for Indian road conditions to enhance ride comfort.

On the safety front, the MPV comes loaded with features such as:
