Hyundai is testing a facelifted version of the Verna, a Virtus rival which first launched in March 2023. Spy shots suggest only minor design changes, mainly to the bumpers and lighting. Let’s take a look at what can be observed from the spy shots!
The 4th Gen Verna was launched in March 2023, and currently it’s priced at Rs. 11.17 – Rs. 17.55 Lakh. Now, Hyundai appears to be prepping a facelifted version of the Verna, likely to be introduced around the festive season in 2025. New spy shots of the 2026 Verna facelift have surfaced, hinting at minimal visual changes. Compared to the current model, updates appear to be limited, suggesting a mild design refresh focused mainly on the front and rear bumpers. While the front design is camouflaged, the rear is partially visible.
The connected LED tail-lamp setup with horizontal light bar and signature LED dots has been retained. The facelift may introduce a slightly toned-down front fascia. It’s likely to continue with the connected LED DRL strip and LED headlamps. The front bumper is expected to be tweaked, and Hyundai may eliminate the fog lamps in line with recent design trends.
We can expect Hyundai to offer new alloy wheels despite the facelift model spied with current-gen alloys. Engine Options – 1.5 L Petrol NA with 6 Speed MT, iVT; and 1.5 L Turbo Petrol with 6 Speed MT and 7 Speed DCT – are expected to be retained as well. As for the features, Hyundai could offer 360 Surround View Camera, dual-zone climate control, Powered Driver Seat, new 10.25-inch Digital Cluster, etc.
Since major exterior and interior changes seem unlikely, Hyundai could be timing the Verna facelift launch for late 2025, possibly following the debut of the next-gen Venue during the festive season. The updated Verna is expected to carry a slightly higher price tag compared to the current model.
