Tata Punch is all set to get a new rival in 2026 which will have better fuel efficiency, features and comfort!
Hyundai Exter, first introduced in July 2023, quickly became one of the best-selling micro SUVs in India by offering a unique blend of bold SUV styling, segment-first features, and fuel-efficient powertrains. Now, nearly three years later, Hyundai is preparing a major facelift for the Exter to further strengthen its presence in the entry-level SUV segment. With competition intensifying – especially from the Tata Punch – Hyundai aims to keep the Exter fresh and desirable by introducing a significant update in 2026.
Hyundai Exter Facelift: Design

Hyundai’s Micro SUV design-wise isn’t expected to get a major change in design, but expect subtle change to the front fascia, connected lights for the front DRLs and rear tail-lamps; and redesigned bumpers. Other than that, not much is expected for the exterior, however, the interior could receive upgraded equipments to keep it competitive against it’s one main rival, Tata Punch.

The interior could see some upgrades over it’s current model like new 10.25-inch Infotainment System while retaining the Digital Cluster with 4.2-inch Colour TFT MID. Moreover, it could receive new themes for the cabin, and new design for the dashboard. Other than that, it’ll retain most of it’s current interior form.
