
Ultraviolette has expanded its portfolio by launching the Shockwave electric enduro bike at the Fast Forward India event in Bengaluru. Priced at Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 1,000 buyers, the price will later increase to Rs 1.75 lakh (ex-showroom). The Shockwave is designed for off-road adventure, featuring a lightweight build, high torque, and rugged styling.
Design & Features
Ultraviolette Shockwave sports an aggressive enduro motorcycle look with a dual LED projector headlamp, a tall windscreen, and a front beak. The bike is offered in two youthful color options – yellow/black and white/red. It rides on wire-spoke wheels with dual-purpose off-road tyres, ensuring superior grip on rough terrains.
The high-set handlebar with a brace pad and single-piece seat for rider and pillion provide a comfortable riding posture. A portrait-style fully digital instrument cluster supports Bluetooth connectivity, smartphone pairing, and LTE connectivity with an integrated eSIM.
Performance & Specifications
The Ultraviolette Shockwave is a lightweight electric enduro bike weighing just 120 kg. It is powered by an electric motor that generates 14.7 bhp and an impressive 505 Nm of torque at the wheel. The bike can accelerate from 0-60 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 120 km/h.
For suspension, it features 37mm telescopic front forks with 200mm travel and a monoshock rear suspension with 180mm travel. The bike rides on a 19-inch front wheel (90/90-19 tyre) and a 17-inch rear wheel (110/90-17 tyre). Braking is handled by a 270mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc, with dual-channel ABS that is switchable at the rear for added control in off-road conditions.
Battery & Range
Ultraviolette claims the Shockwave has an IDC-certified range of 165 km on a single charge. However, the company has not yet disclosed the battery capacity.
Price & Availability
The Ultraviolette Shockwave is priced at Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 1,000 units and will later be available at Rs 1.75 lakh (ex-showroom). Deliveries are set to commence in Q1 2026.
