Kia is all set to debut its all-new SUV, the Syros, on later this week on Dec. 19, with its launch likely to coincide with the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. This move positions the Syros above the Sonet, emphasizing its premium appeal. Notably, the Syros becomes the fifth Kia model in India to feature a diesel powertrain.

The Syros won’t be getting the 1.2L naturally-aspirated petrol engine, focusing instead on two other engine options:

• 1.0L turbo petrol engine – 118 bhp and 172 Nm – 6 Speed MT, and 7-speed DCT
• 1.5L diesel engine – 114 bhp and 250 Nm – 6 Speed MT / IMT / AT

On the technology front, the Syros will come equipped with Level 2 ADAS, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and collision avoidance systems.
