2 Upcoming Compact SUV Launches This Year: All the Details!
This year, there will be two new products in the competing compact SUV market.
1. TOYOTA UC TAISOR:
Maruti’s heartfelt architecture will serve as the foundation.
Its design language will resemble that of the Maruti Fronx, but it will have significant changes to both the front and back.
To give this crossover a distinctive look, it will have a new front bumper design with a new Toyota grille and a newly designed projector setup, a new alloy side profile design, and a few small changes to the rear profile design.
The inside will be similar to that of the Fronx, with some minimal Toyota changes.
A 1.0-liter turbo-petrol and a 1.2-liter N.A.-petrol engine are probably the two engine options available.
The 1.0 L Boosterjet Turbo Petrol engine, when coupled to a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic torque converter, will provide a maximum torque of 147.6 Nm and 98.69 Bhp.
When coupled to a 5-Speed MT or an AMT Gearbox, the 1.2 L N.A. Petrol Engine generates 88.5 Bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque.
Toyota will offer a CNG version that is comparable to the Maruti Fronx and has a 5-speed manual gearbox option. This version will produce 76.43 Bhp and 98.5 Nm of peak torque.
Cost: Ex-showroom, between Rs. 8 lakhs and Rs. 14 lakhs.
Launch: Prior to mid-2024.
2. MAHINDRA XUV 300 FACELIFT:
It will have new front and rear fascias as part of a facelift.
Using design influences from Mahindra’s BE electric range, it will have a sportier, more aggressive look.
It will receive a new alloy design to fit its personality, a new bumper design at the back with sharp angular LED taillights, and a new grille and angular c-shaped LED projectors at the front.
Inside, there’s a redesigned 10.25-inch touchscreen dashboard, a luxurious cabin, an abundance of connectivity options, and a panoramic sunroof.
It will come with a comparable lineup of powertrain choices, including a 1.5 L diesel, 1.2 TGDi, and 1.2 L MPFI turbo-petrol.
