2019 Baleno Facelift Launch in India on January 27.Unofficial bookings starts.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno has been in the Indian market without any major update for a long period of time.With class leading fuel efficiency and features, it has been dominating the premium hatchback segment and making to the top 5 list every time.
2019 Baleno Facelift Highlights
Unofficial bookings for Baleno facelift has been now open at a token amount of Rs. 11,000.Some Nexa dealerships have started taking booking amount for Baleno Facelift.Deliveries of the facelift Baleno will start February 2019 onwards.Test Drive vehicles will be available from February only.
Not many major tweaks will be done in Baleno Facelift.Front and rear bumpers will get more sportier.Front grille pattern has been slightly altered to make it look more stylish.Fog lamps housing is changed to look more angular and is separated from the front air dam.Same will be seen at the rear of the hatchback as well.Cosmetic updates to the tail lamps and rear bumper are also likely.Machined alloys add-on would fulfil all the requirements.
Interior of Baleno Facelift will be same as the ongoing model except for the leather seat upholstery which will make at least to the top-spec trim.Instrument cluster would be carrying more information than earlier.Coming to the features list, projector headlamps are expected to be replaced by the LED headlamps unit.In Baleno Facelift, Maruti Suzuki is likely to offer projector headlamps setup right from their value for money Delta model.Cruise controls and rain sensing wipers will be exclusive to Alpha model of Baleno Facelift.Recently, Hyundai updated its Elite i20 range with number of features and it also gets wireless charging as well.
Under the hood, 2019 Baleno Facelift is powered by the same set of motors.The 1.2-litre unit continues to produce 83 BHP of power and 115 NM of toque.This engine will get power through 5-speed manual and CVT gearbox.CVT will be on offer in Delta, Zeta and Alpha trims.Diesel unit will not also receive any changes and churn out figures of 74 BHP and 190 NM.Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift fuel efficiency and specifications will remain unchanged.There is also another variant of Baleno – Baleno RS which is offered in current Baleno but is not clear whether Baleno RS will be seen in facelift Baleno as well.It is also important to mention that the petrol and diesel engines of Baleno Facelift will be BS-IV compliant.
Price of Baleno Facelift is expected to start from Rs. 5.6 Lakhs and go up to Rs. 8.7 Lakhs for the Alpha trim.Price will be announced on 27th January 2019.Present model of Baleno comes between price bracket of Rs. 5.4 Lakhs and Rs. Rs. 8.5 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom,Delhi).Baleno Facelift will rival Elite i20 2019, Honda Jazz, Volkswagen Polo and upcoming Tata 45X.
