MG Motors has launched the Astor BlackStorm and this special edition is based on the md-spec Smart variant. The BlackStorm edition gets all-black treatment for the exterior and interior just like the Gloster BlackStorm.

MG Astor BlackStorm: What you need to know!

Similar to Tata Motors’ Dark Edition, Maruti Suzuki’s Black Editions, and Volkswagen’s Deep Black Pearl, MG also introduced an all-black variant for the Astor. This variant features a sleek black exterior paint, complemented by blacked-out alloy wheels, grille, door trims, bumpers, headlamps, and roof rails. The only pops of color on the exterior are the red brake calipers, along with the BlackStorm badging on the front fenders and a honeycomb pattern grille for the front grille.

The Astor’s dimensions remain the same, which means its got a length of 4323 MM, width of 1809 MM, height of 1650 MM, and a wheelbase of 2585 MM. Inside the Astor, you’ll find an all-black theme with red stitching on the seats, steering wheel, and door trims. Additionally, there are red accents adorning the AC vents in the corners. The seats are enhanced with a fabric insert featuring a stylish checkered pattern, and the soft-touch dashboard showcases a carbon fiber-inspired design.

Since the Blackstorm edition is based on the Smart trim, it comes equipped with a range of premium features, including a Panoramic Sunroof, a 10.1-inch Infotainment System with wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, Cruise Control, Automatic Headlamps, Automatic Climate Control, and a 7.0-inch Digital Instrument Cluster. In Safety, it comes with 2 airbags, ABS, All-Wheel Disc Brakes, a Reverse-parking camera, three-point seat belts with reminders for all passengers, and ISOFIX anchorages. Furthermore, the BlackStorm edition offers the option to equip JBL-tuned speakers as a dealer-level accessory.

The Astor BlackStorm is available with 1.5 L Petrol Engine producing 108 BHP and 144 NM of torque paired to 5 Speed Manual, and 8 Speed CVT Gearbox. The other is the 1.3 L Turbo Petrol Engine producing 138 BHP and 220 NM of torque paired to 6 Speed Automatic Gearbox. The Astor BlackStorm is based on the mid-spec Smart variant unlike the Gloster BlackStorm which was based on the top variant, Savvy. Here’s the pricing of the Astor BlackStorm –
