Hyundai Creta ICE is getting a facelift update in the early 2024, and many times the electric version was spied testing with the body of electric SUV was of the outgoing version, but this time, it was spied with the facelift version body design, and a large fake exhaust to throw as away as the fact that they were testing an electric version of Creta.

Hyundai Creta EV: What you need to know!

As we all know, lately Hyundai models has been having a polarising design language which splits the opinions of the people into 50:50 ratio. They’re desperately trying to establish a design that would stand out against its other competitors in this segment as the list seems to have grown up to 9 competitors in the compact SUV.

The new Hyundai Creta EV was recently spied in Korea testing but it has a different front fascia than what we’ve seen through the leak spy shots of the ICE Facelift version. The Spy Shot you see above is blurry, and reveals less details because of the amplified halo of LED DRLs. So, it looks like the Creta front face will have a different design for the electric and the ICE version.

The block-shaped LED element found in the rear connected LED tail lamps noticeable in the split headlight design of both the Creta EV and ICE Facelifts. The vertically arranged headlights seem to be a common features between the ICE and EV version. The Spy shots are blurry, but considering the fact that the ICE Facelift is getting new big features like ADAS, 360 Surround View Camera, redesigned interior dashboard to cater the 10.25-inch free-standing dual-displays.

Moving on to Powertrain options, it looks like they were indeed testing an electric powertrain given the presence of the big fake exhaust elements. As for the battery pack, we expect it to be between 50 – 60 kWh battery to give range of 500 KM. The Creta EV could match the ICE version power of 158 BHP and 253 NM of torque that comes from the 1.5 L Turbo Petrol Engine.

As for the rivals, the Creta EV will compete with other upcoming EVs like Tata Curvv EV expected for early 2024 launch, Honda Elevate EV expected in 2025, and Citroen eC3 Aircross expected to launch in 2024 – 2025.
