Mahindra is consistently testing the 5 Door Thar for the Indian Market with confirmed launch this year. Moreover, it’s looking likely it’ll launch early in second half of 2024.
2024 Mahindra Thar Armada: Exterior
The Mahindra Thar Armada is going through some updates compared to the 3-Door Thar. These include a new H pattern grille, circular LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights (DRLs) inside them, a front bumper made of tough plastic, and a more upright hood. Additionally, it will feature extra doors on both sides with square windows, step-up side plates, 18-inch alloy wheels with the option for 19-inch ones, and a single-pane sunroof on top since it’s not a convertible like the 3-Door version.

2024 Mahindra Thar Armada: Interior
Information about the dashboard design of the Armada has been revealed, and it appears similar to the 3-door version. The Armada will have a new 10.25-inch screen for infotainment, and the controls for air conditioning will be operated using rotary dials that look similar to before. The steering wheel resembles the one found in the XUV700 SUV. A new feature in the SUV is an armrest for the driver, along with a center armrest for storing small items and two cupholders in front. Additionally, the seats will have new black and brown leather upholstery to give a more luxurious feel.

The Armada will get two engine options which are taken from the Scorpio-N SUV, except the output won’t be the same, it’ll be lowered down by few percentage. The 2.2 L Diesel and 2.0 L Turbo Petrol Engine will be the options available during launch.

When it comes to Features, it’ll sport 10.25-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto, Automatic Climate Control, Single-Pane Sunroof, 10.25-inch Digital Instrument Cluster, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED Headlamps, reverse-parking camera with rear parking sensors, hill assist, hill descent control, traction control, Disc Brakes for all wheels, Limited Slip Differential, 6 Airbags, and so much more.
2024 Mahindra Thar Armada: Price and Rivals
As for launch, Mahindra will be launching the Thar Armada early in the second half of 2024, and upon on its launch, it’ll rival the 5 Door Maruti Jimny, and the upcoming 5 Door Force Gurkha. We expect Mahindra to price the Thar 5 Door from Rs. 15 Lakhs.
