As we’re approaching the year 2024, we’re also approaching the launch of the new 2024 Toyota Fortuner. While we don’t have a concrete date on when the new Fortuner will launch, but we do know what features it’ll definitely get once it launches. So, here are the top 5 features that the new 2024 Toyota Fortuner will get on launch –

  1. Diesel-Hybrid Powertrain
  2. New Infotainment System
  3. Digital Instrument Cluster
  4. 360-Degree Camera
  5. Toyota’s SmartSense 3.0 (basically ADAS)

The first feature that we’re gonna talk about is the diesel-hybrid powertrain. Yoshiki Konishi, President of Toyota Daihatsu Engineering and Manufacturing, had confirmed the next generation of the Fortuner would be a hybrid powertrain. Since, the Fortuner in India is powered by the 2.8-litre turbocharged diesel engine, Toyota could pair the hybrid tech with this engine.

Next feature the 2024 Fortuner will be getting is a new infotainment system. The current one has an 8-inch display and in the 2023 Tacoma launched for North Americans, it has 14-inch infotainment system. We don’t think Toyota would add the 14-inch display for Fortuner in India but instead it could the 10.25-inch infotainment system which will be 0.15-inch bigger than what’s offered in the Innova HyCross.

Next upgrade for the 2024 Fortuner will be a new fully digital instrument cluster than the analog instrument cluster it offers for the Indian Market. Another upgrade it’ll have over the current Fortuner is 360-degree camera. Toyota offers reverse-parking camera for an 4.8 meters SUV which doesn’t really makes sense, but with a 360-degree camera, you get a full 360 view of the surrounding which basically helps park the SUV safely and properly. Lastly, it’ll get Toyota’s SmartSense 3.0, which is ADAS tech with features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Detection Warning, etc.
