Toyota is working on a new SUV which will compete in a segment with the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV700, etc. This new 7-Seater SUV will be produced in their new plant except this new SUV won’t launch until 2026. Anyway, here are top 5 things about the SUVs that you should know!
Toyota 7-Seater SUV: Exterior
The new Toyota SUV is based on the Corolla Cross SUV sold internationally. From the outside, it has a D-shape grille with a sleeker looking LED Headlamps. The hood is curv-ish giving you a good view for driving, and the bumpers are faux skid plates finished in silver colour. The side profile features door cladding, square-shape wheel arches with 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and few cuts and creases on the body. Lastly, the rear section features wrap-around LED taillamps, little roof spoiler, etc.

Toyota 7-Seater SUV: Interior
The interiors will feature a free-standing 10.25-inch infotainment system and below that is a thin and sleek AC vents, and a dual-tone treatment for the dashboard. Moreover, it’ll get new fully digital instrument cluster, new 4-spoke steering wheel, and leather upholstery for the interiors. The centre console will be having space for cupholders, a gear lever, wireless charging pad in front of the gear lever, and a centre armrest with no sliding cushion. The second-row will likely get bench seats or captain seats (6-str), and lastly the third row will be 50:50 split. On top, the SUV will sport a panoramic sunroof while the AC vents for the 2nd and 3rd row will be the B and C Pillars.

Toyota in India has been capitalising on sales through the Hybrid Powertrain. This is what they’ll do with the 7-Seater SUV as well. It’ll have 2 Engine Options – 2.0 L Petrol, and 2.0 L Petrol Hybrid where the power output and torque output will be the same as the HyCross but for the Petrol only Engine, it’s likely Toyota will offer 6 Speed Manual Gearbox option to lower the base pricing of the SUV.

When it comes to Features, Toyota will load the SUV with ventilated seats, electric parking brake with auto hold, 360 Surround View Camera, Front and Rear Parking Sensors, Level 2 Camera-based ADAS, Hill Descent Control, power tailgate, 10.25-inch infotainment system with Wireless Apple Carplay / Android Auto, powered seats for the front row, panoramic sunroof, fully digital instrument cluster, and so on.

Toyota’s new manufacturing plant is under work, and that’s where the new 7-Seater SUV is going to manufactured, and this plant won’t be ready until or before 2026, so we expect the launch of the SUV in 2026. The SUV will compete with MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra XUV700, etc. and its expected to be priced from Rs. 18 Lakhs.
