With 2023 coming to an end, Mahindra isn’t going to launch any new cars, but in 2024 it has a line-up of cars schedule for launch. In this article, we’ll list down the 3 SUVs that are launching in the 2024.
Mahindra XUV300 Facelift (Expected: Early 2024)
As seen in the spy shots, the upcoming XUV300 Facelift will undergo big exterior changes over the outgoing version. It’ll feature huge new C-Shape LED DRLs that were seen on the concept BE.05 electric SUV, and the DRLs over on the headlamp as frame, closed front grille, new bumpers, bonnet, and new set of alloy wheels. The rear will feature new LED taillamps and a LED light bar for a connected light sequence.
The Interior features a new freestanding 10.25-inch infotainment system replacing the outgoing version’s 7-inch. Next to that is the four-spoke steering wheel that will be carried over from the outgoing version, the AC vent this time will be below the infotainment system and the center console will under some revisions as well. The XUV300 Facelift will also get first-in segment panoramic sunroof, and it’s possible it’ll get a digital instrument cluster, or semi-digital instrument cluster (similar to Scorpio-N).
When it comes to Engine Options, we don’t think Mahindra is going to make any changes and it’ll continue to offer you the same 3 Engine Options – 1.2 L 3 Cylinder Turbo Petrol producing 108.62 BHP, and 200 NM of torque mated to 6 Speed Manual and Automatic Gearbox. Then there is another 1.2 L 3 Cylinder Turbo Petrol producing 128.73 BHP and 230 NM of torque mated to 6 Speed Manual and Automatic Gearbox. Last is the 1.5 L Turbo Diesel generating 115.05 BHP and 300 NM of torque paired to 6 Speed Manual and Automatic Gearbox.
In Features, the outgoing version comes with dual-zone climate control, 7-inch infotainment system, single-pane sunroof, Projector headlamps, height adjustable driver seat, and so much. This could change as its rivals as more features than the outgoing version, and to counter this, Mahindra will add new features like ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, 10.25-inch infotainment system, rear AC vents, wireless charging pad, etc.
In Safety, the outgoing version has safety features like 2 airbags for all trims except for the top trim W8 (O) which has 6 Airbags, ABS with EBD, Front Fog Lamps, All 4 Disc Brakes, Hill Start Assist, Reverse Parking Camera with Front and Rear Sensors, and so on. In the facelift version, it’ll get 360 Surround View Camera, Level 1 ADAS, Tyre-Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Hill Descent Control, and few more.
Mahindra Thar 5 Door (Expected: Mid 2024)
The Mahindra Thar 5 Door has been confirmed to launch in the 2024, but it has undergoing test for months now, we expect Mahindra to launch it the mid 2024. The Thar 5 Door exterior features an H-Pattern Grille and next to them is the round LED headlamps and within those headlamp unit is the LED DRLs which looks similar to the Mercedes G-Wagon. The Bumper at the front is made out of hard plastic which is the same for the rear, and the front bumper also has a round LED fog lamps, On the fender, it has rectangular LED Indicators. Moving to the side, it looks very rugged yet simple, new 18-inch alloy wheels, and black contrasting finish for the roof. As for the rear, it has rectangular LED tail lamps vertically positioned, while the rear windscreen can be open, and there is the same size alloy wheels mounted on the tailgate.
Jumping to the inside, it has free-standing 10.25-inch infotainment system and below is the round AC vents which is same as the sides. The Instrument Cluster is Semi-Digital and in front of it is the 4-spoke steering wheel which is borrowed from the XUV700. The centre console has buttons for HVAC, Hill Descent Control, a lever for low-range transfer, and buttons for window control. The rear seats is split in 60:40 ratio, has the standard 6 Speaker Sound System, and on top is the Single-pane sunroof.
It’ll get two engine options – 2.2 L Diesel which produces 130 BHP and 300 NM mated to 6 Speed Manual and Automatic Gearbox, and the 2.0 L Turbo Petrol which produces 128.22 BHP and 300 NM for 6 Speed Manual, and 320 NM for the Automatic Gearbox. It has features like 10.25-inch infotainment system, LED headlamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, Brake Limited Slip Differential, Single-Pane Sunroof, Hill Descent Control, 6 Airbags, Semi-Digital Instrument Cluster, and so much more.
Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus (Expected: Early 2024)
Mahindra is working on the new Bolero Neo Plus for quite some time now. You may have already seen the leak images of the car on the internet, how it’s going to look, and what engines are going to power the Neo Plus. But earlier this year, an Type Approval Certificate got leaked, that had technical information of the car. The Bolero Neo Plus will come with a 2.2-litre diesel engine that produces 118.35 BHP which is 11.83 BHP less than the Thar and Scorpio Classic.
The Bolero Neo Plus in economy mode will get it’s power reduced to 92.71 BHP. It’ll be available in 7 variants – P4, P4 7-str, P10, P10 (R), P10 7-str, P10 (R) 7-str, and an Ambulance variant P4 with Stretcher. The Bolero Neo Plus will continue to be a Rear-Wheel-Drive (RWD) and it’ll an affordable version of the Scorpio Classic. The Bolero Neo Plus was expected to launch back in September 2023, but instead the ambulance version of the Bolero Neo Plus was launched, and now we expect it to launch in the early 2024.
