Apart from the Curvv Suv, Tata has three significant launches planned for this year. This is going to be a game-changer for the Indian automaker, raising the bar for its competitors.
After showcasing the Altroz Racer Edition at the most recent Bharat Mobility Expo, Tata Motors is getting ready to launch the vehicle later this year. It is expected to have a more aggressive style with possible designer touches, such as a dual-tone black and red appearance with white stripes on the bonnet, black alloy wheels, and black badging that adds to the racer perspective. Expect a sportier interior design with an all-black motif and red and white seat stripes. New-generation connectivity technologies are expected in a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster.
It is anticipated to use a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine similar to the Altroz i-turbo but with more power and torque. With a 6-speed manual gearbox and 120 horsepower and 170 Nm of peak torque, it is now an excellent competitor for the Hyundai i20 N-line. In the future, Tata may also provide a 7-speed DCT option with an additional 1.2L TGDI unit for better performance. It is anticipated to cost between 10 and 13 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Following its recent display at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024, Tata is set to introduce the Nexon I-cng model to the Indian market shortly. This will be available with a dual-cng tank configuration that holds 230 litres of flat boot space and has a winch-assisted spear wheel placed underneath. It is most likely going to have a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine under the hood, making it the first automobile with a turbo option for a CNG-powered vehicle. It has a single advanced ecu setup that allows for quick cng refiling via the NGV1 Nozzle and can also start the vehicle in cng mode. Tata will initially launch with a manual gearbox, but it can also offer an automatic gearbox option in the future. It is anticipated to cost between 9 and 14 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Tata Motors’ next electric SUV, the forthcoming Harrier.Ev, will have a larger battery pack and a greater range of 500–600 km* on a single charge. It is based on the Acti.ev architecture. Because of its modular design and state-of-the-art Tata technology, this electric SUV will set a new standard for other soon-to-be introduced electric SUVs on the market, such as the Creta EV and Maruti eVX. The new Harrier.EV will retain the basic Harrier silhouette but provide a luxurious cabin with lots of technology features, including ADAS Tech and a unique new EV appearance. Fans of off-roading can certainly expect an AWD option soon. Higher prices of 25 to 30 lakhs (ex-showroom) are to be expected.
