2025 is set to be another year for the Indian Market as we will be seeing the launch of many new cars, ICE and electric. However, today our focus is on the MPVs and here in this article we’re listing down all the details of the upcoming 3 New MPVs for India from 3 Car manufacturers – Kia, Renault, and Nissan. Let’s take a look!
Expected Launch: ICE: H1 2025 EV: H2 2025
Kia has been testing the Carens in India, revealing some design details despite the camouflage. The Carens features alloy wheels similar to the upcoming Kia EV5, with a 5-spoke design for both the EV and ICE versions. The front has L-shaped LED DRLs, a thin LED light bar, and LED projectors, while the rear includes C-shaped connected LED tail-lamps and revised bumpers.
Interior features are expected to resemble the Seltos, including a 10.25-inch infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital cluster, updated controls, and an electric parking brake. Both the EV and ICE versions are likely to offer 6 and 7-seater options, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, and new upholstery.
Kia is expected to launch the Carens ICE in the 1st half of 2025, while the EV version sometime in 2nd half of 2025.
Expected Launch: 2025
Renault is expected to launch next generation sometime in 2025 after the launch of the Duster SUV. The current-gen Triber launched in 2019 and since then it has been given consistent updates to keep it competitive and relevant with the Indian audience. But now, it’s not pulling any strong sales with the MPV dues to its age, and hence as confirmed by Renault, it’ll launch the new generation MPV in 2025. Engine specs will be same as the current ones –1.0 L 3 Cylinder Petrol – 71 BHP, 96 NM – 5 Speed MT / AMTThe most affordable 7-Seater MPV of India is expected to be also built on a new platform.
The New Nissan MPV is also expected to launch in 2025 with numerous reports stating the MPV will be built on the same platform as the upcoming new-generation Renault Triber MPV. While at the moment, there’s no test mules spied or any information available, we expect to hear more about next year. Although one thing is for sure, that engine specs will also be the same.
