Expected Launch: H2 2025
Skoda unveiled the New 2nd-Generation Kodiaq SUV last year in October with whole new interior and exterior. The SUV will be on display at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 with launch expected to take place in the 2nd half of 2025. The SUV will be coming in multiple variants and sold through the CBU Route. Skoda introduced the next-generation Kodiaq globally, marking a milestone as the first production car under its “Modern Solid” design philosophy, inspired by the Vision 7S Concept. The SUV now features a more rugged design with squared-off wheel arches, a hexagonal grille, and an optional LED light strip reminiscent of the Enyaq iV. It has grown by 61 mm in length, with a 2791 mm wheelbase, offering more cabin space and increased boot capacity. The third-row option provides 920 mm of headroom, while the boot space expands from 340 liters with all seats up to 915 liters with the third row folded.
Inside, the cabin mirrors the upcoming Superb, featuring a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, an optional HUD, and a new infotainment system ranging from 10 to 13 inches. The smart rotary knobs on the center console add functionality for climate and infotainment controls. Interior trims include sustainable “Ecosuite” designs alongside Loft and Lounge options. Equipped with Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) suspension and twin-valve dampers, the Kodiaq enhances driving dynamics and refinement, making it feature-rich even in lower trims.
Expected Launch: 2025
Volkswagen has unveiled the new Tayron, a three-row SUV that replaces the Tiguan, offering enhanced practicality, advanced onboard tech, and versatile powertrain options. With dimensions stretched by 231mm, the Tayron accommodates a third row of seats and adds 198 liters of boot space. Inside, the Tayron boasts a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, and an optional 15-inch head-up display, along with ADAS features like Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keep Assist.
India powertrain options include a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol offering up to 262 BHP, and a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel in 148 BHP and 190 BHP configurations, all paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The Tayron will is expected to launch in India in 2025 via CKD assembly. It will rival SUVs like the Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq.
Expected Launch: Q1 2025
The facelifted MG Gloster is set to make a bold statement in the full-size SUV segment with its impressive dimensions of 5046 mm in length, 2016 mm in width, and 1876 mm in height, surpassing the Toyota Fortuner in size. Exterior updates include a bold block-pattern grille, sleek LED DRLs linked by an LED light bar, and tri-cube LED headlights that enhance its striking road presence. The SUV retains its side profile but features fresh 6-spoke alloy wheels, likely between 19 and 20 inches, adding a touch of sophistication.
Inside, the Gloster Facelift boasts a modernized cabin with an upgraded infotainment system, redesigned dashboard, and new rotary dials for drive modes and 4×4 selection. It continues with two engine options: 2.2L single-turbo diesel with 159 BHP and a 2.2L twin-turbo diesel offering 213 BHP, both paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Advanced features include Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, 3-zone climate control, and luxurious comforts like powered and ventilated seats. Expected to launch early 2025, it aims to rival models like the Toyota Fortuner and Skoda Kodiaq with its enhanced size, features, and competitive pricing.
