While it’s no secret that Honda is working on the next-gen Honda Amaze, and is expected to launch in 2024. It’ll be some new features and changes that its rivals won’t see coming, and help Honda boost the sales in India. So, today, in this article we’re going to list down the top 4 things about the Next-Gen Honda Amaze that you need to know.
Exterior
The next-gen Honda Amaze will be built on the platform which underpins the City Sedan, the Honda ACE Platform, and it’ll likely adopt similar design language as well, and share some similarity to Accord that is sold internationally. Notably, the second-gen Amaze was inspired by the Accord at that time, and same approach can be taken for the third-gen Amaze like the new grille with hexagonal-like pattern, thinner and sleeker LED DRLs within the LED headlamp unit, and the bumpers little aggressive than the current version.
Interior
Jumping to the interior, we expect the interiors to undergo new design layout to accommodate a free-standing touchscreen 8-inch infotainment system, similar to the Accord. Moreover, it’s possible the interior layout could be similar to the City as well like a new 4-spoke steering wheel, vertically positioned AC vents, dual-tone treatment for the dashboard, separate wireless charging pad space below the Climate Control, and a single-pane sunroof, making it the first sedan in the segment to offer this feature.
New Features
When it comes to Features, the current Amaze comes with LED Projector Headlamps, C-Shaped LED Taillamps, 7-inch Infotainment System with Apple Carplay / Android Auto, Voice Command, Auto Climate Control, Wireless Charging, 2 Airbags, Rear Parking Camera and Sensor, and few more.
However, in the New-Gen Amaze, it’ll be getting 8-inch Infotainment System with Wireless Apple Carplay / Android Auto, 6 Airbags, Auto-Dimming IRVM, Single-Pane Sunroof, and ADAS with functions like Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, etc.
Pricing
The current Honda Amaze starts from Rs. 7.10 Lakh and goes all the way up to Rs. 9.86 Lakh. Honda had earlier this month announced a price hike coming next month, January 2024, across the three models in its line-up – City, Amaze, and Elevate. While the affordable car in the line-up is Amaze, it won’t have a much bigger hike and is likely the price won’t go up to Rs. 7.5 Lakh for the base trim. Honda will definitely try to bring lower the price by introducing a new trim which will align with its rivals pricing – Hyundai Aura (Rs. 6.44 – Rs. 9 L) and Maruti Dzire (Rs. 6.51 – Rs. 9.39 L). So, we expect the new-gen Honda Amaze to start from Rs. 6.50 Lakh.
